Tzuyu arrived about five minutes of a walking distance away from where the house Jungkook had secretly bought was. She had planned it exactly that she would arrive right at 6pm, so Jungkook would choose if he would be early or late. She had her earphones in, and was quietly listening to their comeback song that would be released soon. Of course she had a mask and a hat on so that no one would recognize her, even if the neighborhood they were around was small, had lots of trees, and was mostly elderly people who wouldn't know who she was anyways.
Despite all of this, she kept her head down and checked her messages from her unnies and the maknae line groups chat without blinking an eye. It was late December, and the sky was getting pretty dark, so Tzuyu walked quickly behind the long branches handing away from the trees that were on the other side of her. Because she was listening to music, and had her hat covering her ears, she wasn't able to hear anything else that was around her.
She was getting close to the house, and was only about twenty paces away before she slowed down her pace. She wasn't able to hear uneven footsteps behind her and jumped in surprise when an older man stumbled in front of her.
"Excuse me" said Tzuyu before she stepped around man and started to continue her walk. The man looked at her for a second and shook his finger.
"A young lady like you shouldn't be out here by herself" he said, slurring his words together. Tzuyu couldn't help but assume that he was drunk due to his speech and his red face, even though it was only around 6pm.
"I'm aware of that" she said quickly, trying to avoid talking to this man. She was almost infront of the gates of the house when the man grabbed one of her arms.
"Come with me, pretty lady. I'll make sure you'll be safe" he said. Tzuyu yanked her arm out of the man's grasp and couldn't help but feel disgusted.
"I'll be safe when you're out of sight," she raised her voice, hoping someone would see the situation she was in and try to help her. As soon as she said this, the man pulled her by the arm and tried to drag her in the opposite direction.
"Someone please help!" Tzuyu yelled, and attempted to get his hands off her arm again but his grip was too strong. She had never felt so helpless in her life before and started to cry, teardrops cascading down her red cheeks.
Her vision was blurred by her tears that she didn't register a new, tall man running up to her and wrenching the grip of the drunk man off of her. Tzuyu fell to the ground and looked up in surprise. The tall man had brown curly hair, and doe eyes, and was that Jungkook?
Tzuyu gasped in surprise and was frozen on the ground as she watched Jungkook punch the man once and yell at him.
"When someone doesn't want you around, you should know to leave! Now get out of my sight before I call the police on you" he said loudly, and the man ran away without a word. He then turned to Tzuyu and slowly helped her up.
"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" he asked softly.
"No" said Tzuyu.
"I'm so sorry, lets go inside and I'll clean up your knees" he said. Tzuyu looked down at her knees; she hadn't even noticed that they were scraped. She didn't know what to say to Jungkook, and he didn't seem to either, so they walked to their house silently. Jungkook motioned her to sit on the couch and he went to look for something to clean her knees with. While he was gone, she glanced at her arm which had started to throb from the man's strong grip earlier, and saw that bruises were starting to form. She sighed, and straightened her back when Jungkook entered the room again and started to clean her scratches.
"How did you know I was out there?" she asked, breaking the silence, and Jungkook looked up in surprise.
"I-I heard your voice calling for help so ran outside to see that man dragging you away" he said. Tzuyu looked down at the floor while Jungkook stood up plopped down on the couch besides her.
"I'm sorry" she blurted out "I'm sorry that I ran away without listening to you and didn't give you a chance"
Jungkook's doe eyes widened as he shook his head
"No, you don't need to be sorry and I'm the one who should apologize to you. I should have pushed Lisa away, and I should have spoken up as soon as it happened. It was my fault that this misunderstanding happened"
Tzuyu could see the truth about Jungkooks words in his eyes and reached her arm out to him.
"I understand Kook, but I'm really sorry for running away"
"Don't worry about that now Tzu. And I-" he hesitated before he continued "I was wishing that we could continue our relationship but now I don't know if thats what you want"
