i'll give you a map to meet me if i never return
a series of ongoing twists and turns that swivel into words in between all of the hellos and goodbyes that were bestowed upon us, the two a.m. greetings, and leaving before the other opens their eyes when daylight finally streams in.

i may miss the few talks we shared, but the most significant were of the long silences were words weren't needed. we'd just stare and trace and love all over again.

now that we're fading under the same sky,
tell me if you'd ever love me when the moon's not high. if you'd ever care when the sun comes up, bright and blaring; all the things we forgot to mention in our lingering silence.

will you still care enough to use a map to meet me when i never return?
