Lipstick Stains

I finish packing up my necessary items that I needed (or in other word the stuff that I wouldn't let my dad sell) before moving to a new city across the country. I bring my light box out to the car and load it in the back "Is that everything Kira?" My dad askes "Yes dad that's everything" I say back exasperated "Well it's important because we are moving across the country and I don't want to leave any surprises for the next owners" he says sharply.I don't know where in California we are moving because my dad wanted it to be some sort of a surprise. I walk through the house checking the cabinets and all the rooms for stuff but there was nothing left that was important. I walk outside with my purse slung on my shoulder and go get into the car. We drive to the nearest airport in twin cities all of our stuff is put underneath the plane and all we have is our carry on bags left, we board the plane and get ready for takeoff. I put my beats on set my iPhone 5 to shuffle and sit back and relax. I think about how we are moving across the country to live with my dad's new girlfriend and her two sons and daughter . At some point I must have fallen asleep because I wake up to my dad shaking me and telling me to look out the window to see my new home. When I look down I see a beautiful blue ocean and nice white sand beaches and a city that goes on forever it seems like. After getting out of the airport my dad calls for a cab and we drive for a while until we reach a large gate guarding a set of large and beautiful houses that are a huge upgrade from our last house, I turn to my dad and say "we live here" I say with my mouth dropped open as he nods.I later learn that we live in Santa Monica California and its absolutely beautiful. We walk into the house (that I think is like gigantic) and I see that there are very large windows for the most light possible as well as lots if skylights, on the inside it's very white/cream colour which makes the dark brown couches stand out as I walk into the kitchen it's huge just like the house and it has a breakfast bar and is kosher I walk up to the fridge and open it to find it full of delicious looking food, I continue to walk to find a set of patio doors that leads to the back yard. I walk out onto a deck which is stained a dark brown I look down off the deck to find my new yard has a large pool and that if I look beyond the pool that it drops into a cliff that drops to the ocean. I walk back inside and head for the spiral stair case that leads up stairs I look up and see that there is two floors above me I walk until u reach the second floor but my dad comes along and tells me that my room is on the third. I keep walking until I hit the third floor I walk down the hall until I reach a door that has my name written on it. Kira Marie Landrie this is mine I think to myself I open the door to find a ice blue room with a set of sliding doors that leads to a balcony that overlooks the back yard, I look to the left side of my room to find a queen size bed with a canopy and a side table that has a black lamp with a white shade. I look to the other side of my room to find a flat screen tv built into the wall as well as a few speakers for sound I look to the left of the tv to see a desk beside the patio doors and on the desk is a apple laptop as well as the books I will need for school in the fall. I look to the other side of the tv and see a door that must be for a closet I walk over to the door and open it to find a walk in closet that was fully stocked with new clothes and sorted into dresses fancy and not as well and pants, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, strapless shirts, and bikinis as well as other kinda of fabulous swim suits. I walk down stairs and see that my dad's girlfriend and kids are here, I walk up beside my dad and he into to duces me to all of them, " Kira this is Gregory, Charlie, and Lisa and Gregory, Charlie, Lisa this is Kira"he says "hi" I say kind of shyly "hello" they say in unison. Gregory has bright orange hair and so does Charlie but Lisa has dark brown hair and dark green eyes as well but Gregory and Charlie have hazel eyes. Lisa is the first to break the awkward silence after my dad and his girlfriend Melissa left "So have you been I the beach here yet?" She asks "No I haven't ever been to California before today" I respond

"Well we have to take you there" Gregory says

"Yes we do" Charlie pipes in

"Okay then I guess we are going to the beach then" I say

We all run up the stairs to our floor of rooms I enter my room when I hear a knock on my door "yes" I call

"Can I come in?" I hear Lisa ask

"Yeah come on in" I say I hear the click of the handle and Lisa comes in

"Can I make a suggestion on bikinis to wear?" She asks

"Yeah go ahead" I say as we walk towards the closet

"Go with this one it will make you eyes pop" she says as she holds up a bright white bikini

"Okay" I say "Can you leave while I change please?" I ask

"Why don't you use the bathroom" she asks while pointing to a door on the other side of my bed

"Because I didn't even know that was there" I respond

"Well now you do" she says giddily

I rush to the bathroom not even stoping to take in it's beauty I stand in front of the mirror looking at my poker straight golden hair and seeing how the white bikini would make my bright blue eyes pop. I quickly change I run out dropping my clothes on my bed and heading back to the closet to grab a sun dress, a towel and some flip flops. "Ready?" I ask "Ready" she responds
