As a human, Cas knew it was a good idea to learn about human culture. He decided to start with music, as Dean seemed very passionate about it.
While the boys were on a ghost hunt, Cas decided to get on Sam's laptop and "Google" popular music. He didn't exactly know where to start, so he just typed "heaven music".
One of the suggestions said "heaven music video beyonce", so he just clicked on that. It took him to "YouTube" and he was shown a "music video" of this "Beyoncé" woman. He was astounded by the way she sang, the way she moved. It was amazing.
He thought there was some sort of meaning behind the video. There was a woman being possessed by a strange demon of sorts. She was successfully exorcised, but the "meatsuit", as Dean usually called them, didn't survive. The video mainly took place at her funeral. And at the very end, there was a version of the exorcism. And heaven couldn't wait for her. Obviously.
He wanted to watch more of these videos, so he clicked on the first result after the "advertisement". It wasn't Beyoncé. It was by a strange woman known as "Katy Perry". Unconditionally or something. Then he discovered "Rihanna" with What Now. Then he found his favorite YouTube woman.
Shakira.
He watched Can't Remember To Forget You, and he was enchanted by her voice. It was beautiful. He also saw the Rihanna woman. The video was described as "steamy", and Cas had to agree. That water looked quite warm.
He wanted to hear more of her music, so he returned to "Google" and looked up "shakira". He found many songs. La La La, She Wolf, Loca. Cas's favorite was Hips Don't Lie. It was "catchy".
When Sam and Dean returned from the hunt, Cas was quietly humming the tune to the song sitting in the library. He'd memorized the lyrics and knew them like he knew the names of all the prophets.
Dean heard him humming and was immensely curious.
"Cas, what're you humming?" Cas looked up at him excitedly.
"A song by the most amazing YouTube woman." He grinned from ear to ear. Dean chuckled.
"Alright, who is this YouTube woman?" Cas stood up, standing right in front of Dean, smiling away.
"Oh baby when you talk like that

Dean couldn't help but burst into laughter. Cas's smile faded away. Was this bad?
He couldn't help but feel a little hurt by his reaction. He felt tears in his eyes. He rushed out of the room before Dean could see them.
He locked himself in the bathroom and sat on the floor against the wall, burying his head in his knees. He let the tears flow.
How could Dean laugh at him like that? It really hurt. He could hear Dean knocking on the door asking him to come out, but he ignored him. He was too upset with him.
"Come on, Cas, I'm sorry!" Dean called.
"Go away!" Cas sobbed.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it!"
