"Let's go to bed. I'm getting tired."

"Okay. Whatever you want, Cassie."

They got settled in the bed, bundled up beneath the blanket. Cas was about to fall asleep when he thought he heard something.

"Dean?" He whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"That... ringing sound."

Dean sighed lightly. "Cas, that's a symptom. Tinnitus or something. You'll be fine, just go to sleep."

"But it's annoying me."

"It'll go away."

"The ringing, the neck stiffness, the back pain."

"Is your back hurting?"

"Did I not mention that?"

"No."

"Dean. My back hurts."

"Well, thanks for the fucking heads up!"

Cas winced at his harsh tone. "I'm sorry." He muttered, feeling a little hurt. He didn't want Dean to yell.

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm just tired, that's all. Go to sleep, okay? You'll feel better in the morning."

"Do you promise?"

"Cross my friggin heart."

Over time, Cas's symptoms lessened until he had fully recovered. Dean was more than happy to see his angel good as new again. He hated having to see him so miserable, so now that he's better, he can go back to being a happy little angel with his hunter.
