I always feel like a terrible person when I turn down an invitation for my own personal reasons. Since it's personal, I feel like it's unjustifiable or something I can't elaborate on. It always makes me feel like I'm doing them an injustice by letting them down. Especially when those I say no to end up spiteful afterward.
