One moment everything seems fine, and you love the world, and everyone loves you, and you feel like you're lucky to be one of those lucky few that have good people in their lives.
The next second, the gloss and varnish wears off, and the true, grey world is revealed The .
And then Bad crashes down on you, again and again and again, like those waves that crash onto the lone tree that grows on the beach, that one lonely coconut palm.
But that coconut tree doesn't give up, does it? It stays and clings to the sandy ground, never giving up and letting the crashing waves and the pounding winds sweep it away. It stays, offering coconuts and shade. It stays, trunk scarred, leaves ripped off, but still standing.
It stays standing.
It is a persistent tree.
