Common leaves roasted in porcelain
Above a charcoal haze
Stripped of catechinsThe roasting flavour pours
Into the leaves
As it gains an autumn tanAdored for their gorgeous mildness
They're treated to all ages
Served after an evening meal
Or before the lights go out
Highly loyal to all tongues
