Taehyung opened the door, stepping into the apartment and smiling brightly at jungkook, holding up his books teasingly to the man, who simply groaned in frustration upon the sight of them.
“You’re going to turn our home into a public library at this point. I’ve already had to start browsing for another book shelf to replace the other guest room.”
“I mean...we could probably just fill the other wall in the room that the book shelf is already in. Maybe get some free standing bookshelves or use the closet space...Maybe put some couches in there and clear out the other things like the bed that you left in there, make it my own private library instead of just one book shelf. And then I’ll fill that, and then I’m done. I promise.”
“You promise?”
“Scouts honor.”
“Wh—“
“Jin hyung!” Taehyung called, smiling at the man who’d entered the kitchen to get something to eat. The male turned to find Tae skipping up to him, books in his arms.
“Ah...did you get some more books, little cub?” Taehyung nodded, smiling brightly.
“Don’t encourage him.” Jungkook muttered. Taehyung giggled and turned, giving each of them a peck on the cheek. He walked out of the room to go and put his books into the room designated for them before walking back out and plopping onto the sofa in the living room.
“Jin Hyung…” Taehyung finally said, having a thought cross his mind. “Don’t you have to go back to Japan soon?”
Jin froze, thinking. “Oh shit...you’re right, I do run a mafia in Japan…” he finally sighed, groaning. “Jungkook, you can have my mafia.” he said suddenly.
“Wait...really?” Jungkook grinned, smiling and standing. “You’re giving me a position above you?” Jin growled and turned to the man, narrowing his eyes in distaste.
“Let me rephrase that. I will share leadership over my mafia with you, but we will be equals. I will entrust you with mine, but you in turn, must entrust me with yours. We’ll merge the two and so you will have instant connections all over Japan, and I, Korea.”
“But who will run it in Japan for us, then? Seeing that you’ve basically written off your own country and will be staying here, because I’m pretty sure you won’t be leaving Taehyung, and I’m not letting you take him with you.”
"I can find someone, I'm sure. It can't be that hard to find someone to run things over in Japan. I have some men I can trust, and you have some, too, no?"
"What about Jimin?" Taehyung finally asked. The two men turned to him.
"Why Jimin?"
"He's fluent in Japanese...I taught it to him. And he's been in Jungkookie's inner circle for awhile, he knows the ins and outs, the do's and don'ts of running a mafia. He'd be perfect, unless you'd prefer one of your own men from Japan, Jin hyung."
"No...perhaps we should test out Jimin. But are you so eager to get rid of your best friend?"
"I'm not getting rid of him! He just…" Taehyung sighed. "I feel like he just needs a break from all of my shit and all of your shit and just everyone's shit in general, and I also feel like he's done more than enough to deserve this kind of position, wouldn't you say?"
"But what if he doesn't want to go?"
"Then he doesn't want to go. I was just thinking of offering him the position."
"Then I'll do that. But are you sure?"
"I'll have frequent contact with him. And I'll be able to visit him, because he'll be coming back to report to you, won't he?" Jungkook nodded.
"Well, now that that's settled...are there any more problems?" Jin finally asked. The three of them looked at each other.
"No." Taehyung finally said, smiling. "No more problems."
"Good."

"So you want me to go to Japan...and to run Jin's former part of the syndicate?"
"Basically. You don't have to if you don't want to, but Taehyung suggested for you to take the position."
"Oh." Jimin glanced at Taehyung, who was smiling brightly at him. He narrowed his eyes suddenly. “You sneaky bastard.”
Taehyung’s eyes widened and he hit his hand to his chest. “Excuse me bitch?” He gasped, offended. Jimin merely started to grin, pulling Taehyung into a hug.
“I know what you did.” Jimin whispered. “Thank you.” Jimin smiled and then turned to Jungkook and Jin. “I accept. I won’t let you down. But I’ll be back to report to you at least once a month, if not more, because I couldn’t stay away from this idiot for longer than that.”
“Hey! I am not an idiot!” Jimin merely rolled his eyes and turned to Taehyung once more, grinning.
“You keep telling yourself that, Tae.”
“Good, because I will.” Jimin sighed, slumping his shoulders.
“Yeah, I’m definitely taking that position. When do I leave? Now?”
“Hey!”
