Paelen woke up in pain. His limbs ached and throat throbbed. He opened his eyes and found himself in a dimly lit room. There was no furniture, just a few cardboard boxes.

"Paelen?" A small voice called out to him.

Paelen looked around, "Katy!" He cried and crawled towards her.

"Oh, Paelen. I though we were gonna die!" She wept in his arms.

"Why, what happened?"

Katy took a deep breath, dried her eyes and started telling the story.

-Flashback, Katy's p.o.v-

A rough hand grabbed her arm as she was pulled into the alleyway. She saw Paelen fighting in vain to free her and Charlotte, but she saw the huge man grab him from his shirt and slam him in the wall. She struggled to get to him as the man put one hand around his neck and started choking him. "Paelen!" She shouted out but a hand smacked into her mouth to silence her. How had no one heard the shouts? She looked at Paelen's face as he struggled to breathe. He was going red and tears started rolling down his face. His struggles had started to get weaker and weaker and his eyes became unfocused. She saw the man tell Paelen something and laugh as his body went limp.

"NO!" She screamed as she broke free from the man holding her. She started attacking the man still holding Paelen, clawing, biting, harming him in whatever way she could. He easily pushed her away and dropped Paelen. He lay unmoving on the ground. She started crying, her sobs filled the alley. The huge man caught her and hissed, "He's not dead, but he might be if you don't shut up." She shut her mouth and tried restraining her cries.

The man looked at the others. "Get the van. We're bringing all three. We can't have them telling the police."

Another man ran out of the alley, leaving them in silence. Katy tried to see if Paelen was indeed alive. Luckily, she saw his chest move up and down slowly. Good. He was breathing. Katy looked back at Charlotte. She had given up on struggling, she just cried silently, her mascara running down her face. It was about 10 minutes before a white van can to a stop by the alleyway. The men checked around for any other people. Unfortunately, there was no one around, so they were hauled into the back of the van. When they closed the door, it was pitch black.

Katy didn't talk to Charlotte. This was all her fault. If she hadn't been stalking Paelen, she wouldn't have been attacked and they wouldn't have had to try and save her. She felt for Paelen. He seemed to be lying on the floor in a very awkward position. Katy tried to make him comfortable as best she could in the dark, then leant her back on the wall of the van. She must have fallen asleep at some point, because when the door finally opened, it was dark.

The men stuffed bags on top of their heads and led them into some sort of building. It must have been huge because they walked for ages. Katy felt herself being pushed into a room and heard the door close behind her. She struggled to take the sack off her head, but when she did, she was so relieved Paelen was there with her. However, Charlotte was nowhere to be seen.

-End of flashback-

Paelen listened carefully to what happened. He had been in worse situations. At least it was not the CRU. Once she had finished, he said, "Do not worry, Katy. I have been captured many times before and escaped. We will get out of this."

"How?" Katy asked tightly, "We're in a locked room, in a massive building miles away from home!"

Paelen smiled slightly, "No lock can keep me out, Katy."

She raised her eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"Watch this." Paelen said as he started to stretch out his body.
