Mackenzie arrived to school with her best friend Johnny and his sister Lauren.
"Ugh! I really hate being here." Kenzie said in annoyance, "We only have a year left." Lauren said.
"Yeah I know and I can't wait to graduate and get out of this hell hole." Kenzie said a bit excited.
"We still have to go to college you know?" Johnny reminded her, "I know, College is much better than high school." Kenzie said.
"Freedom." The three friends said in unison, "well I'll see you guys later." Johnny said walking away.
Kenzie and Lauren walked to their lockers which were next to each other. Their other best friends, Annie and Brynn walked up to them.
They all hugged each other, "I missed you guys." Annie said with a big smile on her face.
"Finally we're seniors!" Brynn said in excitement, "don't get too excited. Maddie told me being a senior is really hard." Kenzie said.
"Well thanks for killing the excitement Kenz." Brynn said glaring at the brunette, Kenzie laughed.
"I heard there's a new student coming." Annie said, "Is it a boy or a girl?" Lauren asked.
"I hope it's a boy, we need cute guys in our school." Brynn said, "There are cute guys in our school." Kenzie said.
"Oh sorry, I meant hot guys." Brynn corrected, "I'm surprised you say that, judging from the way you look at Carson in class." Lauren said smirking.
Brynn widened her eyes, "I never look at Carson in class." Brynn denied, "yes you do, you basically have a crush on him." Lauren said continuing to expose her friend.
"I don't know what stupid lie you're talking about because Carson is not my type. We bearly even talk to each other." Brynn said.
The bell rang and everyone walked to their classes, Kenzie took her seat next to Annie.
The teacher walked in and put her books on her table, "welcome back students, this year we have a new student." She said.
They all saw a boy walking in the class. He had black hair, a cute smile with dimples. Some girls were admiring him.
"Would you like to introduce yourself?" The teacher asked, "Hi. I'm Asher Angel, I moved here from Paradise Valley in Arizona." The new guy introduced himself.
Kenzie looked at Annie who had her jaw dropped, "Annie? Annie?" Kenzie whispered. She then snapped her fingers in front of her friend's face.
Annie snapped 'out of it'. The brunette looked at Kenzie who had a smirk on her face.
Kenzie crossed her arms and slouched on her seat. Annie put her head on her hands feeling quite embarrassed.
