Once there was a girl,
with hair colored scarlet,
and secrets hidden deep
in her wizened, old smileCursed with a wicked blessing,
she roamed the Earth for many a millenia,
cursed with agelessness and
with no companion with herUntil one day,
she met a man with inky black hair,
and guarded green eyes,
containing stories that rivaled her ownShe was delighted to find him,
and together they traveled,
sharing stories and secrets
that was too long left unsharedAnd they were happy,
very, very, happy,
but everyone knows that
happiness doesn't last for all timeOn one tragic day,
the two lovers were separated
by a great ocean,
left on opposite banks of the seaThe woman searched relentlessly,
but found herself unable
to once again find the man,
and was forced into a life of resignationBut not for forever,
because one day,
the scarlet haired girl saw the man,
waiting at the edge of the sea,He sat patiently,
by the edge of the water,
with that same, welcoming smile,
she had grown to miss,Joy overcame her, and it him,
the second they saw each other,
happy to once again see each other
after many years apartYears later, they would once again
lose each other at the ocean,
as would happen many times over again,
no matter whatBut no matter what,
they always searched
and they always waited,
for each other.
