One ordinary day, my bestfriend and I are sitting on the couch while playing video games. Out of nowhere, something entered my mind.

I asked her, " Hey, do you thing its fine if bestfriends become lovers?".

"Uh what? Dummy, what do I get for answering that dumb question?", she replied.

I rolled my eyes. "nothing", I turned my head at the window, because I know if she saw my frustrated face and my mad brow she will tease me, "forget that i said that", I added.

I heard she chuckled before saying, " I think no...think of it, if we ever fall in love with each other, it might be the best thing that will happen".

I smiled. Then she added, " But it could also be the worst thing", the smile on my face slowly fade. I looked at her and she wears a serious face, I can not resist the temptation to ask, "Why?".

She paused the game and looked at me, "meh for example things wont go as we expected, it could be a tragic story if we ended up ignoring each other like we are'nt bestfriends, if that happens I will not only lose my partner, I will also lose my best friend..."

A moment of silence created a barrier between us...

It felt so awkward... Things started to come back to me. Why did I asked that. The hell am I thinking?

Then she said with a casual voice, " I can not afford to lose you dummy, its easy to find a partner, but a bestfriend who can handle all my moods and accepts me as I am?.. maaan! Its freaking hard .. Ha! Guess im really lucky"

After hearing those words, I felt lucky and appreciated. I like the way things are. I'll just let the things to flow forward. Still, I could'nt contain the joy within me and smiled.

She looked at me with a confuse face and said, "You look like an idiot, why are you smiling?"

I looked at her with a serious face, " and what do I get for answering that question?"

She loves it when I use her own words against her. Now she looks pissed.

I pinched her cheeks.

"Ouuch!!"

She slapped me but it didnt hurt.

We looked at each other and laughed.

She loves me,

I know it...

not as much as I love her.

Yet, I think this is better...
