With Friday's homecoming game rapidly approaching as well as the early morning pep rally where each year's King and Queen would be announced, Valentina knew she had to try again, especially since she had it on good authority that she and Danny were the front runners for the sophomore class. She made her way over to Danny after Glee Club. "So have you given any more thought to my offer?" Valentina smirked a bit. "Yeah...I'll go with you," Danny said as Valentina looked thrilled. "Good choice. We are so going to win homecoming court now," Valentina grinned hugging Danny before rushing off to gloat. Danny wondered if he had made the right choice but knew he had no chance of going with the one person he wanted to be with more than anything, so why not go for what most of the school would view as the best option.
"Ladies, I've done it," Valentina smirked to the other cheerios as she entered the locker room as the cheerios looked at her. "I secured the quarterback as my date," Valentina grinned as the other girls congratulated her, all but Lexi, who rolled her eyes and Lily, who watched Valentina celebrate solemnly. She had always liked Danny but knew if the truth about her and Blaze were to get out, he'd probably hate her anyways so she decided to tell him to go with her sister. Lily smiled weakly at her sister, happy to see Valentina so thrilled but on the inside it hurt her more than ever before to know she was the reason why Valentina and Danny might be McKinley's new power couple.
Friday morning everyone was gathered in the gym for the announcement of homecoming king and queen as Sue and her daughter, Robin made their way to the microphone. Robin, much like Becky Jackson played the xylophone for her mother's announcement as the chatter of the high schoolers died down. "Thank you for shutting up before I had to tell you to," Sue said seriously as she took the microphone off the stand. "Welcome to yet another pointless ceremony where we crown the homecoming court for each year. We'll start off with the freshmen," Sue said unenthusiastically as she opened the envelope. "Your freshmen homecoming king is....." Sue said as she then looked down at the name "Hepburn Anderson-Hummel." Hepburn looked surprised but thrilled at the honor as Christine smiled back at him applauding him for the getting the honor. Hepburn made his way down as Robin put the crown on his head. "And for the moment you've all been waiting for, for God knows what reason, the freshmen homecoming queen is....." Sue said as she opened the envelope. "Tracy Anderson-Hummel. Well that's not awkward at all," Sue said sarcastically as Tracy fake cried waving her hand in front of her face thrilled that she had gotten a crown. Hepburn rolled his eyes watching his twin's antics as Robin placed the crown on Tracy's head.
"Moving on to the more important class, the sophomore class," Sue said as she got the envelope for the sophomore class king and queen as Valentina held her breath wanting queen more than anything. "Your sophomore homecoming king is...." Sue said as she opened the envelope and looked down at the name. "No surprises, Danny Schuester," Sue said enthusiastically as Danny nodded graciously as Rose rolled her eyes as he brother made his way down to get his crown which Robin placed on his head. Valentina couldn't help but clap enthusiastically knowing her date was king so there was no way she wouldn't be queen right? "And for your sophomore homecoming queen.....Valentina LoPierce," Sue smiled a bit glad her head cheerio was the homecoming queen. Valentina celebrated making her way down as Robin placed the crown on her head as she and Danny posed for the photos. "I told you this was meant to be," Valentina said with a smile as Danny didn't look so sure that she was right.
The announcements continued for Junior and Senior homecoming court with Blaze winning Junior Homecoming King and Lily winning Senior Homecoming Queen. Lily tried to keep up the look that she was thrilled with the honor of being queen, but truth be told, she was concerned of what would happen when her secret got out to the school.
Cut to the homecoming game where Valentina, Lily, Lexi, and Candice are with the other cheerios cheering for the Titans who look like they are going to win the game by a landslide. The crowd was wildly excited for the homecoming game, probably even more so since the Titans were winning once again. It was getting down to the 4th quarter and with only a few seconds left, the Titans scored once again, leading the team to yet another victory as everyone celebrated knowing that this was the game they were going to remember.
