Bobby opened his eyes tiredly and stared at Buu's prone form. He tried to move but he cannot, at least his feet can't. He realizes just then that he was paralyzed from the waist down. He accepted his new situation and Bobby dragged himself closer to the little girl. He is getting used to the magic of his new world that even the threat of a lifetime of paralysis is now just an inconvenience to a player. Especially to a player healer.

As he expected, even as he crawled, his battered body began to heal himself. He had enough injury that by now, his body is pre-programmed to treat the worst cases first, then go on sorting severity and the complications of the damages within his body. And he is relatively confident that paralysis will be up there in terms of medical importance to him.

He gave an involuntary shout of pain as his spinal collum reattached themselves, and nerve endings in his toes started tingling once more.

He started crawling again when footsteps finally registered in the fog of his brain. He tensed up. Any hostile at this point will make short work of him.

A man knelt beside him and said in a compassionate voice, "Easy there, lad. You're going to be fine."

Bobby turned his neck to the other side and saw Alfredo Ampil, Malou's father, looking back at him with a worried look in his eyes.

"Buu?" Bobby croaked. "Is she okay?"

Alfredo looked around and saw the prone little girl, and he cursed. Even with his ample girth, the old man was surprisingly mobile if he wanted to. Within seconds he is crouching near the little girl.

Bobby watched him as he listened for Buu's breathing and gingerly touch her tummy. Bobby coughed a glob of blood but ignored it. He knew that his magic is already working on his internal organs as he felt the uncomfortable feeling of his lungs dislodging bone fractures inside of them and out of Bobby's skin.

When he is able to, Bobby crawled on all fours and sat at the opposite side of Buu. "She is breathing normally at least," Alfredo said. "There are a few cuts and bruises but nothing serious. I'm afraid of moving her just in case there are some internal injuries. Wait here while I get my daughter. I talked to her a while ago, but she said she needs a few minutes to gather herself."

Bobby nodded to him to acknowledge what he said, but Bobby didn't really need her daughter's help at the moment. He placed his hand on the chest of the little girl and poured healing energy towards her. Buu sighed, and her colors grew healthier although she remained unconscious.

More steps can be heard coming near them, and Bobby turned to see Malou up and about. He felt guilty leaving her alone, but it was the right thing to do. If he had delayed his move a few more moments if he did not catch up with Buu, who knows where all of them will be by now?

Malou looked tired, but Bobby figured that he too probably didn't look too good. At least she is out and about, and she seemed healthy enough, no long-lasting effect on the body spasm she endured. She replaced her dad and started checking for Buu's eyelids and then her pulse.

"No dislocation or shattered bones, possible concussion, and too early to tell if there is no internal bleeding."

"No internal bleeding," Bobby assured her, his glowing hand continues to wash healing energy towards Buu.

"A few secondary lacerations and bruising, nothing immediate..." She continued, relaxing a bit, as she watched when those same bruises she was talking about healed right in front of her. Then her eyes went to Bobby. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," He said in a clipped voice.

"You are bleeding, profusely," She insisted.

"Nothing close to the heart, I won't die just yet," Bobby said with dark humor. "So, concentrate on the girl."

"She's fine," Malou retorted. "You, on the other hand, don't look so hot."

"I recovered from a bullet in the brain remember? This is nothing. I can already feel my body knitting myself together."

"Exactly my point!" Malou said in an exasperated voice. She didn't ask permission anymore and leaned towards Bobby to check up on him. Bobby was too tired to argue.

He turned when more footsteps started coming closer. 3 warrior type players jogged towards them amidst the destruction. Melissa's Vanguard finally arrived.

Good.

That woman will also demand answers to her questions and will not take no for an answer, Bobby thought and groaned. He continued to heal Buu and cleaned out her bruises. When she wakes up, she will be as good as new.

"Are you associated with Col. Sorya and the base HQ?" The team leader asked Bobby. The leader was young and on closer inspection, is probably a paladin rather than a warrior.

"Yes," Bobby said. "There may be a lot of injured people around the debris, I need you to send a team to check the south side and see if there are any survivors-"

"In the name of Secretary Illos and the authority given to her by the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, you are hereby accused of treason and put in immediate under arrest. Take him!"

Alfredo and her daughter Malou, as well as Bobby himself, stared in disbelief over the team leader's face. Are you fucking kidding me? Bobby whispered to himself.
