HI GUYS !! just got out of a concert and wanted to fuckin wRITE BUT FUCKIN LISTEN TO HEADFIRST SLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN ON A BAD BET OK?????? this is where i got this from -
pete's eyes crinkle at the corners and a smile tugs at his rosy tinted lips as he watches the blonde man playing the guitar. the silver band around his finger catches in the light every so often, reminding pete that the blonde man is unfortunately someone else's treasure.
"i will never end up like him," patrick sings soulfully and with much emotion seeping into his voice. "behind my back i already am." his eyes close, hiding away the ocean blue colors. the way he performs the song, it's clear he's lived it from a personal experience. the strums soon stop and pete blinks.
"why'd you stop?" he asks.
"i don't think i have it in the right tune. i think i should sing it a bit deeper," patrick mumbles, humming the chorus a bit. "and we should have more piano and then an onslaught of guitar. you know what i mean? let's see what it'll sound like. joe! can you do your bit real quick? i wanna try something." patrick gets behind his mahogany keys and holds a finger up to joe as he tries out some notes. "now start."
pete grabs his bass and strums a few chords along with patrick and the blonde looks over, smiling. "this is good," pete mouths. patrick nods and smile wider.
"i think we should go with a feel like this," patrick says. "what do you think joe? we could have andy going strong and let him loose when we have the guitars come in more."
"i think this is rad. it really fits with how you're delivering the lyrics," joe praises. patrick smiles proudly, nodding. "and pete, the subtle bass is really good and it compliments the piano well."
"thanks," pete nods.
