"Will." Percy stated, clearing his throat awkwardly.

It was six in the morning, and no one was awake yet. Well, except for the Apollo cabiners and himself. Again.

Will stopped sharpening his arrows and looked up, only to see Percy's face scrunched up nervously.

"Oh, hey Percy! What's up, dude? Anything wrong?" He questioned casually.

"It's just that.." Percy hesitated and cleared his throat again.

"Just what Percy? What's wrong?" Will asked, concerned. Percy was acting strange.

"Dowehavetodothebiopsytoday?" He rushed out, his face flushed red with embarrassment.

"Umm.. what? All I understood was jsvdgdbsjskjsbsvshsjsnsbsbsjhsjshshshshsjbdopwpiuwhvavvababbdopehnaklakakkssjnnsnbtsbtsbts-" Will started saying gibberish nonsense, hoping that it would make Percy a bit more at ease.

It did.

"Shut up, Will." Percy said, laughing, reaching out to punch Will's arm.

Will laughed. "But seriously, Percy, what were you saying?" He questioned lightly.

Percy immediately sobered. "Umm, it's just that, the war just got over."

"Mmhmm." Will hummed, encouraging Percy to continue.

"The Romans are here..." Percy hesitated.

"What's your point, Percy?" Will asked, not unkindly.

"We can have the biopsy later some other day?" It was a statement, but it came out as a question.

Will stared at Percy. There was this.. vulnerability in his eyes, that broke Will's heart.

Will put on his doctor mask.

"No." Will simply stated and went back to sharpening the arrows.

Percy sighed, expecting this. "Will, please try to understand. A war just got over. Everyone is happy, everyone is celebrating. They see me as a leader. If I get bedridden now, if they find out, it would break their heart. Please. In a week, the schools would start. Only the year-round campers would remain, and the Romans would go back to Camp Jupiter. We can have it then, right? The chances of people finding out is less."

"No, Percy." Will said, trying hard not to break his mask.

"Will, ple-" Percy started desperately.

"No, Percy! Don't you understand? If it is now, atleast we can start the treatment early! Later, we don't know what might happen! Don't you understand? It's spreading fast, so damn fast, Percy! I'm so fucking scared, okay? I'm so dam scared and I'm trying to fucking not show it in front of you, but you are not making this easy for me! This isn't normal, Percy! Demigods are not supposed to get cancer! This is not common like it is for mortals! A week, you say! A week makes a lot of difference! We, as demigods, should know that by now. Every day, every minute, every fucking second matters!" Will said rapidly, angry.

"I know that you don't want others to find out, and I would do my best to keep it a secret, both Jason and I will try to keep it as a secret, but it has to be today, okay, Percy?" He told, more softly now, holding one of Percy's hand and squeezing it reassuringly.

Percy simply nodded, feeling overwhelmed.

"I'm sorry for shouting, Percy, but I want you to understand that whatever I do for you, it would be done wholeheartedly, your best interest in my heart. Whatever I do, it would be done for your well-being. I don't want you to hate me for forcing you to do it today, but it is for the best." Will told, trying not to let the tears that had gathered in his eyes slip out.
