You were seated at your friend Summer's house. She was having a party and everyone seemed to be having fun but you. You quietly stay seated at the bar as you watch the crowds of people drink and dance together. Summer really knew how to throw a party. You only wish you could enjoy it yourself. You sighed and were thinking about leaving when a green swirling portal opened up next to you. "Come on Mort-urp-y have fun." He pushed the young boy towards the crowd. "Aw geez Rick I-I don't know" The boy said over the crowd.
"I said have f-un" Rick said and pushed Morty in the crowd. A faint "oh man" was heard as he quickly got swallowed up by the moving bodies. Rick sat next to you and swirled his chair towards the bartender.
You put your head in your hand, continuing to watch the drunk people embarrass themselves. "-urp- One shot of straight vodka." Rick said pulling out his flask and taking a swig "What's your problem." you quickly turned your head towards the older man, his words took you by surprise and you felt slightly embarrassed. Was it that obvious you were miserable. "I uhh-" "Listen don't worry about it, before the night is over everyone will probably be passed out and wont remember how antisocial you were tonight." the bartender passed him his drink and he took the shot then gestured for another one. "Whats your name?" Your weak voice said just loud enough for him to hear. He pulled out his flask again and took another swig, still without looking at you he held it out for you to take.
"Rick. Yours?" You took it, the cold metallic feeling in your hand made you feel even more uneasy. You put it up against your lips and swallowed. It tasted horrible. You handed it back to him with a clear grimace on your face.
"Y/n"
"So are you a friend of Summer's or?" He finally looked at you, "Yeah, we've been friends since middle school." he scoffed picking up his new shot "What a good friend leaving you by yourself." he was right. The entire time you've been there Summer hadn't talked to you, did she even know you were there. He puts his hand on your waist and pulls you in closer, he smirks again his other hand guiding yours to his shoulder. Rick was a surprisingly good dancer which caught you off guard. You felt kind of weird dancing with him it wasn't like a bad weird, you felt yourself becoming attracted to him. It was weird because you didn't expect yourself to be. As soon as it started the song ended and Rick took his hands away. You weren't going to lie you wished he would never let go. He grabbed your hand and started walking through th crowd. He took you outside then he sat on the grass. You sat next to him and he drank from his flask but before he took it away you grabbed it. You drank some, you expected it to taste just as horrible as before but it didn't. Rick smirked at you again. You could see it from the corner of your eye and you looked over to him. He took his flask back then put his arms around you. You felt your cheeks heat up, what was going on. Rick started to kiss you, you could taste the alcohol he was drinking and you pushed him away. "What's the -urp- matter?" He asked you slight disappointment was audible in his voice, "You're drunk Rick, you don't know what you're doing." he turned away and lied on the grass. He let out a sigh "Okay you're right, I'll just-" "I could wait for you to get sober." you interrupted. He nodded.
A few hours later you and Rick were in the garage of his daughter's house. You guys had been talking about science which he was surprised that you were extremely interested in it. He looked at his watch then back at you "I think it's been enough time." He joked and walked towards you, you wrapped your arms around him and you started to kiss.
"OH MY GOD! GRANDPA RICK! THAT'S LITERALLY SO GROSS, THAT'S MY FRIEND" You heard you friend Summer yell "Get out Summer, didn't I tell you to knock if you were going to come in here!"
