Different? [ EXO fanfic ]

Chapter 1: School

Choi ji hye is a rich girl but when she was nine years old, she was kidnapped and almost killed, this had left her with a trauma so she was determined to learn self defence or anything that could protect her.

Her parents tried to make her go to famous and expensive schools that only the upper class could afford but she had pulled away from the world ever since and never attended any class because she was afraid. Afraid that people would kidnap her because she is rich, threaten her parents then kill her. Therefore, her junior life after 9 years old was spent in a public school and had kept her rich life a secret.

When she reached her senior year her parents asked her to go to the school they recommended due to application in university.

"ji hye, please go to the school we want you to go to. It is for your own good, for your application in university, the chances will be higher! " Mrs Choi says

" Please mom, do not force me. You know why, don't you? " Ji hye says

" You are our only child we hope to give you the best, if you want, we will have bodyguards to follow you around, does that sound good? "Mr Choi say

" Don't, that will just make it more obvious, please. "

" It is for your own sake. Do as we say. "
" Please dad, I'm already suffering enough! Stop making me go through this again! I hate myself! " Ji hye screams as she pulls on her hair

" But-- "

" Enough! " Ji hye angrily says as she walks to her bedroom and closes the door behind her

"Honey, do you think that we had gone to far? "

" It's the best for her. "

Days had passed and they had tried to convince her.

" Fine, but we will not reveal anything okay? "

"As you say. "

Ji hye walks up to her room and lies on her bed 'Is it really okay? I am still scared.' Hundreds of thoughts runs through Ji hye's mind

*Ring* Ji hye woke up and got ready for school

Scared by the consequences, she decides to disguise herself.

She put on large round glasses, retinas, fake pimple disgust, etc.... (authors note: i am not saying that nerds or whatever you think dresses like this. As i say 'disguise' but if you are offended, i deeply apologise.)

Ji hye's POV
In school

I reported to the office to see which class I'm in.

"hello I'm a new student, i would like to know which class i am supposed to report to. " I say as i slightly bow

" Can i have your name first? " The officer says without looking at me

" It's Choi ji hye, Sir. "

" Here is your time table and you are going to first class. "

" Sir, i am sorry but can i just know the way please? "

" Well of course, just turn walk straight from here and turn left, walk up two flights of stairs and right again, then take the elevator to 4th floor. "

" kamsamida( thank you )"

I follow the officers instructions and see the label 'first class'

The class was pretty noisy. A middle aged woman walks towards to me.

" Are you the new student? "

" Yes madam, i am. "

" Come in. " She says as we both walk into the classroom

" Good morning class " The teacher greets the class

" Morning. " Some students reply while some talk among them selves

" New student. Introduce yourself. "

" Yes, good morning, i am Choi Ji Hye. "

The class stares at her and starts to throw negative comments.

" She's a nerd, i don't like her, she must only know how to study."

" She's not pretty, look how ugly this nerd is. "

" Bet you a hundred that she got in here with a scholarship well how can a poor and ugly student be here! "A guy laughs as he fist bumps the other guys fist

' Are this people out of control? They aren't low key burning me, they are roasting me on the grill openly!'

" Enough! " The teacher shouts

" You can pick any seat you like since there are only 12 students in this class." The teacher says as she turns back to ji hye

" Yes. " I pick the desk close to the door on the first column

" Wouldn't you want to sit next to any of this guys here. I guess that any girl would die for your spot, you know? "

" Why? "

" Can't you see that there are 12 handsome guys in front of your face. "

I just shrug my shoulders

While the teacher was writing on the board, the boys threw crumbled papers at me. I had ignored it at first until one threw one neatly folded one that told me to unfold the papers as there are things written on the inside. I glanced over, picked up a paper and unfolded it, it wrote nerd, and other comments on how I look like and some introduced themselves

I ignored them continued to listen to the teacher because I was tired of all these things.

Second period had passed by pretty quick and the siren went for lunch break.

The boys walked out to the canteen as we are in special class, we used one private room. I walked in and ordered my food and went into a single seat corner table. I took out my phone and listened to apink's song { mr Chu }

I got my food and ate deliciously
