Cliché #1: Height difference
This is a problem I see in both Wattpad, and traditionally published books, especially in romance. There's like an unspoken rule that for some reason the guy has to be a literal giant while the girl he's paired up with is a midget pixie. The tallest they make these girls is like 5'2, while the guys start anywhere from like 6'2 and beyond. It's crazy!
There seems to be the thought that any man below 6'0 ( it's more like 6'2 but no one will admit it ) is short which is therefor undesirable, which is just stupid. I don't get why the girls have to be so short but, my guess is the people writing these characters like the idea of being a small dainty woman being protected by a big strong man, which again I don't get. Why do you wanna be with someone so much taller then you that you look like their child!? It's creepy and gross.
For once I'd like to see a book where the girls super tall, or the guys short, or maybe their both just average height. I don't get why that's so hard.
