"You reek of Alpha!" Taehyung stated accusingly while holding onto his water bottle, eyebrows disappearing under his soft bangs. Jimin couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his best friend who was bouncing on a pink gymnastic ball, legs crossed and head held high as if he was attending dinner with the Queen.

They were in the gym, meeting up for their weekly work-outs, sweaty and aching. Well, technically, only Jimin was working out. Taehyung usually spent the first twenty minutes on the treadmill, then decided he moved enough for the day and just proceeded to watch Jimin work out.

Most people would laugh at how the omega was more determined than the beta, but Taehyung was just naturally lazy. Jimin once asked him why he was still a member at the gym if he didn't use it at all, but Taehyung had just shaken his head.

"Oh, Jiminie," he had said. "you've got a lot to learn. It's that I could if I wanted to! I can come and move as much as I like! And the membership gets me discounts at the Spa across the street!"

Jimin said that didn't make any sense but Taehyung was stubborn and the discussion was pointless. Pretty much like the one he was opening up right now.

"I don't." Jimin stated between push-ups.

He did, and he knew that, but that was none of Taehyung's business.

Jungkook had been coming over almost every day in the past two weeks, playing wih Jaehyun and eating dinner with them. Sometimes, he brought take-out or new comics for his pup and Jimin wasn't entirely sure what to think of that development.

Jungkook's addition almost happened naturally, with Jaehyun asking every day when the Alpha was going to come over, and the Alpha gladly obliging to the kid's wishes. The two got along incredibly well and it warmed Jimin's heart that his pup had found such a caring friend.

"Don't lie to me." Taehyung snapped, blue hair bouncing as he flicked it out of his face.

Jimin sighed and sat up from his workout. "It's not the way you think."

"Oh it isn't? Then I'm sure it won't be a problem to tell me why you smell like you've been jobbing at the 'Alpha-rut-Center' recently"

Taehyung was a drama queen and sometimes it really got annoying. But he meant well and that was just his way of expressing concern, so Jimin didn't hold any hard feelings.

The beta had been his best friend since High-School days, one of the few people who didn't abandon him after he presented. As Jimin grew more confident with his status they started going out a lot, partying and getting shitfaced drunk only to end up on some guy's dick every night. Taehyung wasn't an omega, he was just 'hella gay' as he liked to emphasize now and again. They had some pretty wild times together, especially after college started, they even had some threesomes when they couldn't decide who should get the guy.

There was never anything more between them though.

When Jimin got pregnant, Taehyung had been there right by his side. He had practically lived on the beta's couch for the first months, before he had found that shitty studio apartment for himself.

Taehyung had watched Jaehyun whenever Jimin needed a sitter, he had answered the phone at four in the morning, when Jaehyun was still a baby and Jimin didn't know what to do with the crying Muffin in his arms.

Two years ago, Taehyung had met his mate, a grumpy Alpha named Yoongi, and since they couldn't have pups for themselves, they were more than happy to take care of Jaehyun every once in a while.

"I have a new neighbour." Jimin finally explained.

"Oh, do you now?" Taehyung responded.

"Yes. He's an Alpha, a college kid, and he made friends with Jae. They do all that superhero stuff and he comes over for dinner a lot. Jae really likes him." Jimin told his friend, a small blush forming on his cheeks.
