Explanations and Enemies

This is gonna be a long one. But, it was still fun to write!

Jimin sat there and thought for a moment, still upset and angry from the previous events. The boy noticed Jungkook staring at him, waiting for a question. He shovelled some of the ramen in his mouth, and a question popped up.
Swallowing down the ramen, Jimin spoke. "How did you get the cut in your leg?"

Jungkook was a little taken aback. He was expecting a full-on and insane question. "What?" He said.

"I'm just starting off with basic questions before the crazier ones."

Jungkook nodded and said, "I got into a fight with another wolf." That was a little bit of a lie.

"Ouch," the younger muttered.

"Okay, next one."

"Ummm...." Jimin trailed off. It was a little difficult, most likely because he doesn't know that much about werewolves. He suddenly remembered the book he was reading when he and Jungkook were last in the store.

"What rank are you in your pack?"

"You know about that?" The older said, raising his eyebrows. Jungkook was a little happy that Jimin knows at least a few basic things.

Jimin shyly nodded. He explained to Jungkook the book he got the information from.

"That author sure knows what their talking about," the wolf chuckled.

"So...what is your ranking?"

The elder chuckled and responded "I'm the Alpha. I'm in charge of the Jeon pack. It's one of the most powerful in Korea...but we dont want to move to a capital city because it could draw to much attention. Plus, it's really nice where we are right now."

Jimin nodded, and he already had a question in his mind. "Why do you only visit in the warmer months, then disappear during winter?"

Jungkook didn't respond for a moment. He opened his mouth, about to say something, but he closed it and furrowed his eyebrows. But an explanation made its way into Jungkook's mind. "Well...you know how I came in last night as a wolf...? And when you set me by the fireplace for warmth, I turned into a human? Well, that's how our bodies work. In the colder, winter months, we stay in our wolf forms, for two reasons. One, because it's warmer, and two, because that's our mating season."

Jimin nodded slowly, taking it all in. "So...you turn back once it's warm...? It gets to hot in your wolf form...?"

The elder nodded. "Yeah pretty much."

Jimin quickly remembered something...completely off topic. "Hey, do you know that movie Twilight?"

Jungkook laughed and nodded. "Hell yeah! My girlfrie- I mean friend, made me watched it. It really stereotypes us wolves."

"You know that they filmed a majority of the film in Mapleton and this part of the forest?"

"WHAT no way!" Jungkook grinned.

Jimin softly smiled, his anger from before quickly fading away. But a word suddenly appeared in his mid.

Mate

"What about your mate? You're over 18...so that means you've found her, right?"

Jungkook immediately stopped smiling and awkwardly cleared his throat. "I...I guess you could say that."

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "I'm sorry, I dont seem to follow. What do you mean by 'I guess you could say that'?"

Jungkook sighed. He was going to tell Jimin the truth...just not every detail. "So...um...my mate isn't a female...and it isnt a wolf either..."
