Chapter Two

A/N: Guy's I'm gonna need a lot of feedback on the guy's POV just to make sure it sounds like a guy. Of course I know what a girl thinks and feels because its how I feel but I'm a little eh on a guys. So if it doesn't sound right please tell me? Thanks, enjoy! :) <3

Chapter 2:

Tapping my pen on a picture of me I get lost in the thoughts of the best night of my life, her shy smile as she admits her favorite thing to do is bake. I ask her why she isn’t in school for that instead of accounting which she clearly didn’t like, she shakes her head then adds ‘it’s not practical.’ Is that what you think or what others say? I ask she looks away and I knew the answer, you can’t let others live your life do what you love, hell if it fails let me know and I’ll get you a job here. That’s how much I believe in you…she smiles really big knocking the air out my chest. “Cody?”

“Hmm?” I ask a ting of anger within from them ruining my memory, I turn around Mike was standing in the doorway.

“What are you up to?” he asks walking over to look at what was on the table, I look at all the pictures on the table and realize I haven’t even signed one yet.

“Um, I’m supposed to sign these for the meet & greet…” I trail off, he picks them up and frowns.

“Let me guess the curse of Maggie came back?” he asks rolling his eyes, I glare at him he knows how much I hate it when people refer to my spacing out as that.  “Alright, alright, that was a low blow. I’m sorry man but come on it has been two years and she hasn’t tried to get ahold of you…a sign? I think so.”

“I think not, she has a life, Mike. Besides a WWE superstar isn’t the easiest person to get ahold of…” I trail off trying to rationalize everything admittedly I’ve thought the same thing from time to time.

“Even you don’t believe that, either way if you love her so much why haven’t you tried to find her on like Facebook or something?” he challenges, I stare at the ground not wanting to answer this question. “Hm, you love her so much but not enough to actually find her?” He asks lifting a brow; the anger is rising up again. “Face it Cody, you don’t give a fuck about that girl.” He blows it off swatting his hand slightly, I charge at him pressing my forearm to his throat tightly against a wall.

“Don’t you ever say that again, ever.” My heart was racing I knew I shouldn’t be doing this to my best friend but the anger was taking over, everyone poking fun at my misery was finally too much. “You want to be so nosy. I did look her up on Facebook that night, she posted a song called ‘I’m Falling for You by Chester See’ and for a split second I thought it was for me until I read the comments…” I trail off loosening my grip on his neck,

 “What did they say?” he asks rubbing his neck I wonder back over to the table signing the pictures quickly, “Come on man you can tell me, I know I was a jerk a second ago but that was the first time in two years…please.” I let out a sigh and decide to finally share something with someone about her,

“Oooh so it went well with Randy? So Randy is finally getting divorced? Aww Maggie and Randy sitting in a tree…” I mock in a girly voice, before slamming my fist on the table making it shake.

Mike places his hand on my shoulder causing me to tense up more, “I thought you said she only talked with Randy for a second before telling him to leave?” he asks furrowing his brows together, I nod. “Well did you go back to see if she corrected them?” he asks I chuckle.

“Mike, I don’t get the girl when Randy is involved. It only takes a smile and they are over me and onto him.” I go back to scribbling my signature back onto the pictures even quicker not caring what they come out like,

“Well still you should check to see if she said anything recently,” He grabs my iPad off the charger and sets it on the table before giving me a wink and walking out of the room. I stare at it wondering if I was willing to risk destroying myself if it meant I could become the happiest guy in the world.

“Anything for you…” I whisper wishing she could hear me before I click on my favorite’s folder, where I saved it from my laptop before the iPad came out. I see the link, my finger wavers over it I haven’t dared click this in years but today I was going to face my fears. As I close my eyes I whisper a quick prayer, please love me… with that I open my eyes, in bold letters I read out loud what they said “The page you requested was not found. You may have clicked on an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive…”

I hit the exit button feeling lower than low, “Of course, my one way to get a hold of her and I waited too long…” I sigh getting up and sinking into the couch feeling miserable all over again. “Officially destroyed.”
