I left America at the age of 20 due to a breakup, but before that happened, I was happy as can be, America was amazing, I had friends, I had friends who were like family and I had my girlfriend... well now ex-girlfriend. My world came crashing down on a snowy day in Utah but that's a story for another day....

I'm back in America, for a football tour. Real Madrid won our normal league, the champions league and the FA cup. We won the treble... After winning the treble, the winning team goes on sort of a tour to different places to play football against there League teams... this time the US were picked as the country we would visit.... was I happy to win, yes, was I happy to be back... no.
"Cheer up we won the treble" Nicki, our central defender says as we are in our shared hotel room... my roommate and good friend.. what more could I want
"You know I'm happy about winning. I'm not happy to be here though" I state as I sigh and flop onto the bed backwards
"Just think, if you do happen to see her you can prove to her that you are happier now than ever before. Because you are right. Your happy?" She asks with a questioning tone
"I'm happier now than I was 2 years ago. I just feel like my life is finally on track and I dont want that to end by accidentally bumping into her" i say sitting up and looking at Nicki
"Keep your excitement in check, I am here to cheer you up" Nikita, a friend from England and good teammate and striker says as she enters our room with such a dramatic entrance making me laugh
"Who called you" I say chuckling as she instantly jumps onto Nickis bed making her groan
"Me and now I regret it" Nicki says making me smile
"Your down in the dumps and I'm here to cheer you up. So cheer up kid. You dont wanna be here and i for sure would rather be back in England seeing the team but we gotta suck it up for a week or two. We play Portlan first so you dont need to worry about seeing she who shall not be named" Keets states making me smile at her
"So stand tall and be proud, we won the bloody treble. Were the best team in the world!" Nicki says clapping
"No your both right. I cant let her effect me now more. We just gotta get through this week, then its international duty ready for the SheBelieves" I say smiling brightly
"Theres that smile! Now get up, food is in the conference room. We got pizza" Nikita states standing up and pulling me off the bed, hugging me as she skips out the room, hyper as ever. Nicki smiles at me and chuckles as she follows behind her...
I grab my phone and look in the mirror, smiling at myself.
