If Birds Sung At Night I'd Be Better

And we're sitting there

Summer porches as the sun sets

We are there

Burning under the sky as it burns

Together again and I

Together again but we don't look to the sky

Up to the sky

Up to the sky

Cause we're fading and we're falling and I

Sometimes I start to feel it

We're losing blood; we're losing life

Sometimes I start to hear it

The mechanical whir of bones. I'll die

Sometimes I start to feel it

The addiction's grip on my eyes. I'll lie

sometimes I start to hear it

We're fading fast, fading oh so fast.

We'll be waiting there

Under the sky until it's dark and we shiver there.

Close your eyes, brush your hair

We don't know what we're waiting for

Who's there? Who's coming and knocking

At my door?

The devil himself dressed in

Red, white, and blue.

Thought I knew, thought I knew

If we have feelings in the end

If we have feelings I would end

Sometimes I start to feel it

We're losing blood; we're losing life

Sometimes I start to hear it

The mechanical whir of bones. I'll die

Sometimes I start to feel it

The addiction's grip on my eyes. I'll lie

sometimes I start to hear it

We're fading fast, fading oh so fast.

Then we're all alone

In a world of machines gone rogue

I hope you know

If you don't you might float

If I'm a machine, cut the cord.

I can't stop running; I can't stop from running

Please cut the cord

Cut the cord

Cut the
