7 Years with You (A Fairy Tail Wendy x Fem Reader Fanfic)

Chapter 5 - One Year Later

It had been one year since the events of Tenrou. Everyone and everything had gone back to normal, everyone except the members of Fairy Tail. They could never be the same after what had happened.

Day by day, people began to leave the guild and now only the most dedicated stayed. The guild didn't have many members, and with that not much income coming in either. That put them with a lot of trouble with rent and the mayor. The strength and influence was waning.

The mayor was generous, remembering everything Fairy Tail had done for them and giving more time the payments. They were barely keeping themselves afloat

Y/n had walked in, with bruises on her arms and legs and some small cuts, she grabbed another job request "I'm doing another job" Y/n said

"Y/n...you need to take a break, you've been doing jobs for like 3 months straight. You and Wendy even had to start doing separate jobs. Y/n you have to remember you're still a kid. Your body and mind need a break." Wakaba said

"I know... But I don't think we have much of a choice. Everyone has been taking jobs and it isn't enough. I'm trying to do everything to keep the guild afloat" Y/n said

"Y/n you're 13! That's too much for you to take on by yourself, at least start going with Wendy! She's your friend isn't she?"

"I'm..14 thanks for remembering. And Wendy and I both agreed to this. If we split up and take slightly easier jobs with less pay, we can make more then if we took a hard job together. Don't worry about me. Wendy and I, we have each other"

He sighed in response and so did Y/n. "I'm going" Y/n said and left

After a couple minutes Wendy walked in

"Hey Wendy" everyone greeted and she hummed in response and sat at the table

"How did the job go?" Laki asked

"It was pretty easy and quick... Umm has Y/n come back yet?" She asked

"She just left for another job" Laki answered and Wendy looked sadly at the ground

"I'm umm.. Going to try and find her" she told them, quickly running to Y/n's house

Y/n was floating in the lake next to her house with her eyes closed

"Y/n-chan!" Wendy shouted waving

She opened her eyes and swam over to the grass and laid down and Wendy laid next to her.

"How was your job Y/n-chan?" Wendy asked

"It was fine.. although I ran into some people...they were stronger than I thought" Y/n said, slightly holding her chest area

Wendy noticed she winced in pain when she was talking to her

"Y/n-chan, take off your shirt right now" Wendy said and Y/n blushed

Wendy realized what she had said "N-nonnono! Not like that i-i just saw that you're hurt!" She blushed and made a no motion with her hands

"I'm fine Wendy"

Wendy reached over and touched her rib area and Y/n winced in pain

"I know you're not okay Y/n... Please let me heal you" Y/n then took off her shirt and Wendy saw bruises all across her chest.

"You need to take a break from the jobs.. please Y/n"

"We both know we can't. We don't have time for that"

"You're hurt!" Wendy shouted slightly

"We have to have money to keep the guild running! We don't have enough to pay right now!" Y/n shouted and Wendy looked sadly at the ground
