my best friend , iris , invited me to a party tonight.
i loved parties but i really wasn't in the mood for one.

she's over my house now, trying to get me to get ready.

"c'mon y/n! just pick your party dress and let's go." iris whined

"iris, logan just broke up with me. i can't go to a party now." i say as i flop back on my bed

"exactly! this is the perfect time for a rebound!"

"hmmm, no."

"please! you don't even have to stay for long. just stay long enough until i have fun and then you can leave?" she said rudely

"no way."

"okay how about this? you come but you can stay in my room the whole time and then after we can have a sleepover with the rest of our friend group!"

"fine." i finally give in and she squeals.

she throws a tight black dress at me and tells
me to put it on and i do.

3 hours later

this party is so frickin' boring.

i mean there's drinking teens everywhere.

i came down from iris's room to see how she was doing and she's fine. she's dancing on the dance floor with all our friends. 'fine let's go have fun.'

i meet them on the dance floor and they are all excited to see me.

"guys, look at that dude at the door." camilla said

'whoa.' i think to myself

"oh i know his name! it's aidan." iris chimes and continues dancing

"aw, whose the girl he's with?" kaylee asks

aidan and the 'girl' are holding hands and they kiss on the lips and walk inside

"well shit." i accidentally say out loud

"well it seems that y/n has a little crush on mister aiden, don't you, y/n?" iris teases

"what? no." i say in defense

aidan's 'girl' walks away to talk to some friends and i decide , 'he looks like a good rebound.'
