It seems almost ridiculous to have to explain this yet...many, even Christians do not understand that Genies, (also known historically as a Jinn in ancient Middle Eastern culture), were mythological characters also known as demons, minions of Satan.
So with that said, it is not wise on any level for Christians to take in movies and books where the lead character is a demon, such as the newest Disney Aladdin movie.
Remember that anyone or anything that is focused on with supernatural powers that is not Almighty GOD is evil and the occult. That's exactly what the Genie is, an occult figure, the same as a witch or wizard.
Stay far away.
Do not let your children get caught up in characters that are demons....to introduce your children to the occult receives a stern warning in the Bible:
