Serenity and Endymion

Chapter 3: Lady Mars- edited

Setting: Hikawa Shrine, 2 days later

Narrator POV
Usagi, Mamoru and Ami along with Luna arrived at Hikawa Shrine to get rid of the evil aura hanging around. Luna had suggested it after Usagi said that she felt Lady Mars inside the shrine. Fortunately, there just happened to be a  Youma attack nearby. Of course, the public didn't know that: all they knew was that students riding a certain bus at a certain time were being kidnapped.

As they arrived at the top of the stairs, they were greeted by a young girl with Raven hair and dark yet clear purple eyes.

Her eyes sharpened as she asked, "Are you here to threaten us too? We don't know anything about the kidnapped students!"

Usagi POV

"No, you have the wrong idea. We just wanted to meet the Head Priest. Mamoru and I know him from before."

Ami sent Luna a questioning look but Luna shrugged her shoulders. Instead she walked towards the girl and purred.

'This girl; I know she's Lady Mars but I never knew Luna would act all cute with her. Maybe it has to do with her powers awakening so fast. I wonder what her name is.'

"My apologies, my name is Rei Hino. I'm currently training to become a priestess. Please follow me."

"Oh I see, may I ask why you choose this shrine?" I asked her.

"The Priest is my grandfather. I just recently moved here to help him."

"That's so nice of you!"

We continued to make small talk until she led us into where I assume would be their living room. The priest was drinking some tea.

"Grandpa Hino! How have you been?"

"I'm good, thank you for visiting me."

Rei seemed to realize something as she bows to me, "Thank you for taking care of my grandfather, you two must be the couple he's been talking about non-stop since I arrived here."

I shake my head, "It's not a problem, in fact, I'm glad I can do this for him."

Rei smiled back at me, "I hope to get along with all of you so please visit us whenever you can."

We all nodded our hands and smiled at each other.

Grandpa Hino laughed, "I'm glad to see you all get along. Unfortunately my granddaughter won't be going to the same school as either of you but as long as you guys get along; this old man will be satisfied."

Ami grew curious, "May I ask which school you're going to?"

"I'm going to attend the Tokyo Academy Private Girls school. It's run by nuns so it's a stepping stone to my dream, which is to become the head priestess here."

"Amazing." The three of us said while her grandfather nodded proudly.

All of the sudden, we hear crows.

"Oh, I forgot to give them food today!"

We follow Rei as she goes to the kitchen to grab a black container. She then heads outside to the front of the shrine, there were 2 black crows waiting for here.

'Phobos, Deimos!'

'Princess Serenity?' They looked at me.

'Yes, don't look at me though. Rei, or rather Lady Mars will get suspicious. She doesn't know about her identity or anything about the NegaVerse yet.'

'Understood.' They start eating and Rei smiles.

Ami took the chance to ask Rei about what she knows about the kidnapping. This gave us a chance to talk to Grandpa Hino, Phobos and Deimos.
