There were many different types of soulmate ties, such as pain, tattoos, etc.
The tattoo tie was interesting, it only appeared after you had an encounter with your soulmate.
The length of the interaction did not matter.
It could have been a long conversation, or just a friendly smile you acknowledged.
Soon, a tattoo would appear on your body.
It would be a special symbol that no one else had, except for your soulmate.
Your soulmate would have the same tattoo, in the same place, and whenever you touched it,
your soulmate felt your touch on their tattoo.
