Jim Morrison was the lead singer of the rock band called "The Doors". He was a huge icon of the 60s and made many great songs. He was also a poet and made books and poetry while he wasn't making music. Which the name "The Doors" is based off of a poem.
Sadly on July 3rd 1971, Jim Morrison died in his apartment in Paris from heart failure caused by an overdose on drugs.
At 27 years old.
