Chapter One

I'am in the bookstore with my two younger brothers. New school year is fast approaching so we needed new school supplies.

"Alec, Alex. Stay near me." Naka day off kasi ang mga yaya nila kaya ako ang nautusan na samahan sila today. They are 10 and 6 years old kaya napaka kulit. "Buy the stuffs you needed. That's unnecessary."

"Sana si Ate Angela nalang kasi e." Alex.

"Hey, your great Ate Angela won't even answer her phone." I rolled my eyes. I always get compared with her and it drives me nuts! Everyone thinks she's the greatest one, ugh! My ass!

I am busy scanning novel books when I bumped into someone. And that someone has a huge torso kaya muntik pa akong matumba.

"Can you watch where you're going?"

"You were the one who bumped into me, Miss." I rolled my eyes. Kinuha ko na yung gusto kong books and looked for my brothers.

Dinala ko muna sila sa ice cream parlor kasi they requested it. Hindi naman ako cruel na ate na hindi papayagan lahat.

They ordered their ice cream at umupo na. Syempre ako ang kukuha ng orders.

Ng marinig ko na ang name nila ay tumayo na ako. I froze when I felt something cold in my chest. I was panting as I looked at my white shirt covered with chocolate Ice cream.

"Omg!" I grabed my hanky and tried to remove the stain but it was no use. "Ikaw nanaman?" The guy in the bookstore.

"I'm sorry." He tried helping by using a tissue pero wala naman itong natulong.

This is the part where everything just drives me nuts.

"Stop! Stop wiping it! Don't touch me! Do you really think a tissue would remove the stain?! Ugh!" Pinagpag ko ang shirt ko. Halos manlumo ako sa ichura ko ngayon. I look like a mess. Huminga ako ng malalim bago tignan yung guy. "Are you blind or just dumb?!"

Hinila ko na patayo ang mga kapatid ko at lumabas na ng Ice Cream parlor. Too much embarassment for today.

I can hear my brother's giggles pero hindi ko nalang pinansin dahil baka kung ano pa ang magawa ko.

Nakarating kami sa bahay in peace. I had to count up to 100 to calm myself.

We saw our Mom in the Kitchen kaya doon dumaretsyo ang mga kapatid ko. She glanced at me and in an instant nasa tabi ko na agad siya checking my shirt covered with ice cream.

"Allyson, what happened to you?"

"Some big guy got ice cream on her, Mom." Alex.

"She even said that the guy is blind, Mom." Alec. I rolled my eyes at him. Kailangang ikwento talaga?

"Baka naman hindi sinasadya, Anak. You we're too harsh on him." SERIOUSLY, MOM?! I'am too harsh? Ugh. Super bait kasi ng mommy ko kaya ganyan siya.

"Eww. You look like a manlilimos." I heard her giggle which made me angrier.

"Pwede ba, kung wala kang magandang masabi better shut up?"

"Aww. Attitude problem." She rolled her eyes at me at dumaretsyo kay mommy. "Mom, I'm going out tonight."

"Okay, anak. Just please be careful."

"Yeah." She glanced at me again and giggled her way to her room. Huh! Nakakarindi talaga mukha non.

"Ally, ilagay mo na sa laundry yang shirt mo."

"Yeah." Sinunod ko naman ang mommy ko.

I'm drying my hair with a towel ng makita ang paperbag na bitbit kanina. It has the books I just bought.

Nagbasa nalang ako ng libro to divert my mood. Nawala lang ako sa fantasy world noong nagtawag na for dinner.

Days went by fast, its start of another school year.

At school, I'm literally a nobody. My grades were good but I don't have a social life. Meron naman akong bestfriends pero studies parin ang main points namin lagi. And I'm totally contented with it.

"Hey, Ally!" Inayos ko ang bagpack ko bago lingunin ang tumawag saakin. Kumaway ako at lumapit sa dalawang bestfriends ko.

"Nakabili na ako ng books. I also read na. Kayo?" Yumi. Tumango ako. Well, I kinda went overboard with the reading dahil may mga nasagutan na rin akong excercises sa ibang subject.

Call us nerds pero that's okay lalo na kung pumapasa naman kami.

Naglakad na kami ng friends ko papunta sa aming subject. Nagkekwentuhan kami when someone bumped Yumi that made her fall on her butt.

Tinulungan namin siya ni Mimi para makatayo. Because the guy who bumped her just looked at her at mukha pang natatawa.

"Hey, Jackass. Say sorry." Tiningnan lang ako nung lalake at maglalakad na sana siya palayo pero hinawakan ko ang braso niya. "Wow. You're really a jerk." Sarcasm was evident on my voice. "Say. Sorry." I put emphasis in every word.

Nataranta naman yung lalake and about to say a word when Angela butts in claping.

"What a view." Binitawan ko yung lalake at inirapan si Angela. "You're a really violent girl." Umiling iling pa ito habang tinignan ako taas baba.

Angela has art to anger anyone well, especially me. Hindi nabubuo ang araw niya na hindi ako nabibwisit.

I tried calming myself by counting up to 10. I need to calm myself before speaking dahil baka may hindi ako magandang masabi. Nagtawanan ang nga alipores niya sa likod nang hindi ako agad nakapagsalita.

Napakagat labi ako bago ngumiti. "I'm violent? What about you? Oh! A bully." Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. "Magsumbong kaya ako sa admins? Who do you think will get expelled?" Sinamaan niya ako ng tingin bago umalis.

You'll never win, Angela. Never.
