END OF SEPTEMBER
The next month went by slowly. It was the end of September, the weather was changing, and everything had been rather peaceful. Mika had spent a lot of time with Jayce. Every minuets was blissful even if they were building houses or training.
The housing for the pack was coming together nicely. They had rebuilt almost every one by now. To be honest they were way ahead of schedule on it.
Businesses were next, but he had taken a few days off. He pushed training to since the pack started to help him as well. He protested a lot about them helping since he was the one who let the town get in such bad shape. Still, they persisted. They won in the end.
She thought it was adorable.
He seemed to feel relieved that the pack still liked him. She didn't know why they wouldn't. He had always had them at least taken care of, and sheltered to some extent. Other alphas might not have cared at all. Jayce did though, and had taken steps to fix what mistakes he had made. For Goddess' sake he was literally rebuilding the town from the ground up. Who could really be mad at that?
When they began it was still early September. The month was ending and her birthday was coming fast. Jayce wouldn't let her know anything about her party yet.
During the month teenagers of the pack were doing well training as hunters. Her crew was training them well, and many others volunteered to join the group as well. It really brought back a sense of being natural.
They would hunt as their ancestors did, thanking the land and its inhabitants as they went. Training her new group was easy. She still had stragglers, but most of the guard and pack members as well had been able to get the routine down. They were faster, more agile, and even started to think more quickly before acting. She was proud of them. Jayce was proud of her.

Jayce was proud of how she had stepped up in her role as Luna. She supported him when he cried over his pack wanting to help him. She took over training when it was to much for him, and he wanted to throw a tantrum.
Hell she kept Sike in line, and that was an amazing thing in itself. He couldn't begin to describe how much she meant to him, and how much he had come to need her. Mika was in his opinion amazing in every way. He intended to show her when they all threw her birthday party in October.
He wanted to throw her a ball. Literally. He and the other northern boys were determined to give this amazing girl, a huge incredibly beautiful ball. Why? Because she was special to them all.
Jayce already knew from his his friends reacted to her when they met her that she was special. As much as he hated it he also admired it. Not many girls were interesting enough to catch all of their attention. Not to mention crazy enough to handle them.
She back talked Ricardo... and he was not an alpha you wanted to sass. Well, yeah, she scared the guy. Rico respected that too, and that said something with his pack being the second strongest.
No one fought with Jason and escaped without a scratch. He liked to leave a sea of injured people in his wake when he arrived. This time that wasn't the case. Mika kept him busy with a spar, and he didn't destroy anything major this time.
Carter even received a some kind of hit from her. He was still annoyed at that one. No one should see her like that except him. His Mika!
Jayce thought back on the renovations, and laughed a little as he laid back in the hammock. Mika insisted that they needed more fun things around the pack houses. Hammocks, volleyball nets, tennis equipment, and even a few fire pits started to pop up.
