[] For a few Valis more []

It has been a good few hours after Arthur arrived in this strange world, he had only ridden around to get a good insight of the place. So far he hasn't experience any trouble at all aside from a few curious glances of his choice of weaponry. He managed to buy a few treats for his horse as well, nothing fancy just some carrots and apples as it was the only thing this horse would accept. Apart from his gang, the bond he shares with Andreia is like no other and he is glad to have him back, especially since he is alone in this world. The sun was slowly descending into the horizon as Arthur realised that he was too busy looking around that he forgot to feed himself and he only noticed it when his stomach was growling for food.

He lifted his head up and took a quick scan around in hopes of finding any shops or stalls that are opened but to his dismay, there was none. With a sigh, he reached into his bag and felt around to find a can, he took it out and what he found made him wish that he had never searched his satchel for a solution. It was a can of assorted salted offal. With a groan, he reached towards his knife and plunged it into the can, cutting a hole in it before prying it open to see the contents and when the smell hit him, it nearly made him vomit. He hesitated for a moment before digging out one rancid piece of meat before plopping it in his mouth, hoping the taste was different compared to its smell

It was different, the taste was actually different compared to its smell but not in a good way and within seconds, Arthur leaned to the side and spat the meat out, coughing and gagging as he did so. "Starving would indeed be preferable" he thought to himself before tossing it into a rubbish bin and continued his journey for food, finding amusement in his thought as it could be traced all the way back to Pearson, come to think of it, he was certain that was he same can as the one Pearson gave him. After a few more minutes of riding, the sun had already set and the only thing that lit up the street were lamp posts. His hunger was still lingering and at this point, he wanted to take to the woods and hunt for some game.

[]???[] "Hope you enjoyed your meal! Do come again!"

A voice called out, causing the gunslinger to turn around and saw a girl with bluish grey hair wearing what seems to be an apron waving goodbye to a patron before disappearing into a building. Normally he wouldn't even bat an eye at this but due to his growling stomach and the word 'meal' coming out of her mouth was enough for the girls slinger to find himself sitting at a place named 'Hostess of Fertility' and if he was honest, the food here was better compared to why Pearson would normally cook up.

"Just give me the specials for today, oh and some drinks please."

The woman nodded and sent out his order, all the while he was given looks by other adventurers and some were even whispering about him, whether it was for praise or an insult, he really did not care. He was only here to fill his stomach and leave to find a place to stay. He sat near the bar and the woman that took his order reminded him of Mrs Grimshaw, a fierce lady who won't take shit from anyone, hell he was very certain that the girls who worked here would eat him alive. As his order came, which was a big plate of fried fish, he tore the thing apart and ate away. Not noticing the studying look Mia Grand was giving him.

"Say...aren't you the fellow that killed a Minotaur? Quite impressive if you ask me, not to mention the fact that you are new to this makes it even more unbelievable. I'm sure many people will try and recruit or challenge you so be careful"

[] Arthur Morgan []

"Hmm? Uhh thanks for the compliment, yes I am and I ain't interested in joining a group, well not yet anyway."

He spoke and kept on eating, taking a sip of the liquor she had prepared and it was absolutely delicious, the sweetness of the berries lingered with every sip and with enough of this, he would definitely get wasted which is why he had to refrain from making a fool of himself

"Please! Please will somebody help me?!? She's all I have left!"

A voice echoed throughout the restaurant, it was that of an old man, he sounded feeble and desperate as he caught the attention of patrons as well as the hostesses working there. Arthur turned around and caught sight of an old man, he had crutches on to support his only leg holding him up as he trudged around looking for assistance. Apparently his daughter was kidnaped whilst he was out and is being held ransom for 10 000 Valis, Arthur didn't want any part in this, perhaps someone else could help. However, no one came to his aid, they waved him off or ignored him completely as he kept on moving to find someone, then the mans eyes landed on one adventurer and for one second, he had a slight glimmer of hope.

"Tracker! Please, please help me, my Daughter, she's been taken, I need you're help I beg of you! She's only a little girl, no more than 10 years old, please sir will you help me?"

[] Tracker []

"Do I look like some sort of a charity Organization to you? Unless you cough up some Valis, then I'd rather sit down here and enjoy my night..."

[] Old Man []

"B-But 1000 Valis is all I have, please...

His voice was begging, pleading one last time as his hands were clasped together, barely being able to support his weight with one good leg.

[] Tracker []

"Don't waste my time..."

He responded in a cruel and harsh tone, standing up to leave, the man tried going after him one more time but stumbled and fell, this was his breaking point. Even without the crutch, he crawled towards the exit where his only hope was abandoning him. At first, Arthur didn't want to get involved but upon seeing all of these people not even lifting a finger to help disgusts him. Though it was tuberculosis that caused him to change his ways, just because he is healthy now doesn't mean he is going to go back to what he was before. Even if he wasn't part of his gang anymore, he will continue to uphold their code until the end, he paid for the meal and walked towards the man, helping him up and sitting him on one of the chair.

"Alright, just stay here, I'll head out and find your little girl. Just give me all the details and I promise she'll be back safe and sound. I won't charge you anything..."

With that, the man gave him all the details as well as a picture of his missing Daughter. Arthur nodded and took the photograph, he walked out of the building but not before turning to face every single patron here.

[] Arthur Morgan []

"Shame on you...Shame on all of you! Letting an old man get on his knees to beg you to save his girl, you should be disappointed in yourselves."

His tone was venomous and sharp, each word had a sharp tone to it as he walked out of the place and hopped on Andreia and took off to find the girl.
