Toshi pov
Crap what do I do! I did the only thing that came to mind. I saw it in a lot of American movies I'm sure (y/n) would get it.
"Ka-ka-ka! (Bird calls)" I yelled.
"What the heck is that?" I heard Haru say.
"Probably just some kid doing a horrible bird impression." Replied Makoto.
'Hey! In my opinion, it was pretty good.'
(Y/n) pov
What the frick was that? It sounds like a horrible bird impression. It can't be Tosh though she would come to me. They started to get louder. Ugh, this hurts my ears.
Toshi pov
I could see them getting closer to me. Crap I'll just hide. I turned a corner put my back against the wall. They won't see m-
"Oh, it is you Toshi." Said Haru.
I squealed. I tried to act natural. "Haha, h-hey...Haru. how are you doing?"
"Fine."
Ugh, he always does these on word answers.
"Hey, Toshi," said Makoto.
"Hey," I say nervously. "Ahh so... umm what brings you guys h-here?" I stutter.
"Haru left his stuff here... but why are you?"
"Ummm you know just wanted to get some extra studying in."
"You never were a good liar," said Haru.
"Hey, shut up how do you know!" I said defensively.
"We where forced to hang out with each other every other week since we were toddlers I think I would be able to tell where your lying." He said coldly.
"Well, don't think I thought it was exactly fun either."
"Haru, you are friends with Toshi?"
"I wouldn't call us friends..."
"Were cousins," I say bluntly.
"You guys are related?"
"Unforchantly," says Haru.
"Yep," I say at the same time as Haru.
"Excuse me?!"
He said nothing.
"You think I like being related to you!? You think I like being forced to hang out with you news flash it sucks!" I didn't even know why I was getting so mad at him. Maybe its because he said what I wanted to.
He continued to say nothing.
"The least you could do is answer me!" I say stepping forward.
"Calm down!" said Makoto. Stepping in between us.
"Humf," said Haru.
"Fine just don't say anything."
"Come on Haru lets get your stuff," Makoto said awkwardly.
"Bye Makoto," I said waving. "See you tomorrow Haru," I say back to normal.
"Wait we're hanging out tomorrow?"
"Yep, I heard our parents talking. Your parents worry about you."
"Oh, well see ya then."
I was so focused on Haru I forgot the whole reason I was there. Hopefully (y/n) left. I'm sure she got my signal. Maybe I should check just in case. I walked to the other side opposite of Haru and Makoto. I heard splashing and I guess (y/n) didn't get my signal.
Makoto POV
"Weren't you and Toshi mad at each other?" I asked.
"Yeah, we fight every time we are around each other. If we held grudges I think we would both be dead at this point."
I laughed it was weird. With Toshi Haru talked more then normal and I never really saw him this annoyed before and then just forget about it.
Toshi pov
"Pssst (y/n)." I hissed. She came up to the edge of the pool.
"Yeah? Also what was all the yelling about?"
"Ahhh I'll explain later Haru and Makoto are coming here!" I said frantically.
"What?! Why didn't you say something!?"
"I did but that not important right now! You need to get out they're going to be here any second!"
(Y/n) pov
I quickly got out of the pool and I did the one thing every life guard tells you not to... I ran and I completely regret it.
"(Y/n)!?" I hear Makoto yell.
I began to run faster. Then I slipped on the cement. It hurt extremely bad but I didn't have time to look at my knees because Makoto was running over to me.
"Oh my gosh are you okay?"
"Runnn!" Screamed Toshi.
I got up and speed walked over to the fence and tried to climb it but my flip flops weren't helping. Then Makoto was right behind me. Why didn't Toshi warn me sooner?!
