Chapter 16: What's Right Anymore

~Mikasa's Point Of View~

"Eren's Words got to me.......I don't blame him for being like this, I mean we should've never moved in the first place, sigh.....I want to put all the Wrongs behind us and start fresh but the real question is will Eren forgive me, I want to be with him, I've made a lot of bad choices back then, attacking him when he was at Home and Bullying him" Mikasa thought.

Mikasa got up from her bed, it was the Morning after Yesterday, the Confrontation and words that were being spouted amongst two individuals remained in her Mind. It was like a curse tormenting her, realising her past mistakes, telling her to do something about it. Asking the prey to give them a second chance.

Mikasa went and got herself dressed for Work. She worked as a Part Time Barista and as a Clothes Designer in her other Job, she was surprised she was even working, knowing that she hardly paid any attention back in High School or College for that matter.

She left her Room and saw Levi sitting on the Couch just staring at what seems to be the TV but nothing playing on the Screen. She went and tugged his Shirt.

It rattled Levi as he jumped up slightly.

"Heyy......" Mikasa.

"Oh its just you" replied Levi.

"Okay, what's got you so down?" Mikasa asked.

Levi just shrugged his shoulders, he was still playing that annoyed grunted tone, one he hadn't dropped since High School.

"It's nothing...." Levi said.

Mikasa was confused in a way. But she dropped it and moved on.

"Okay, well I'm off to work, what will you be doing?" Mikasa asked while she grabbed a Banana and a Bottle of Water.

Levi turned to face her.

"Well, Petra is coming round and I got some paperwork left, so I might as well get it done with her keeping me company" Levi said.

"Okay then, we'll I'll see you later, I'm off" Mikasa said as she headed for the Front Door.

After she did that Levi grabbed her wrist. Startling her in the Process.

He looked Mikasa straight in the Face, he had a sad look on.

"Levi???" Mikasa said.

"Oh.....its nothing" Levi said as he let go.

"Whatever is just tell me" Mikasa said.

Levi dropped to his knees, he gripped his Hair, he was pulling them as if he was trying to hurt himself.

"Aghhhhhhhhh" Levi shrieked

Mikasa immediately dropped to her knees and aided him, she picked him up and took him to his Room.

She placed him on his Bed.

"Levi, what's wrong?" Mikasa asked again.

Levi then said something unusual.

"You ever see.........a Deer getting shot?" Levi said randomly.

"No, I don't think so, why do you even ask?" Mikasa said back.

"You see what Eren said to us Yesterday, it really got me thinking. He is right, we hurt them everday, we embarrassed them everday. What did we gain out of it? Nothing but just a few laughs from the School. His words felt like a Bullet Piercing the Human Skin, going straight through and hitting the Weakspot, I-I just  want to......"

Levi said.

Mikasa was surprised to hear that coming from him, the Ex Boyfriend who not only tormented victims for his Pleasure but now he is the person trying to put right what he did wrong.

"Levi, get some rest okay, I'll text Petra to come check on you earlier" Mikasa said.

She left Levi's Room and immediately texted Petra. Petra agreed to come round a bit early and look after him. In the meantime Mikasa left the Apartment, she stood outside the Door and saw someone walking through the Hallway, she realised who it was.

"Eren" Mikasa thought.

Eren walked straight past her. He didn't even give her a look or anything he seemed to have an emotionless look.

Eren walked through the double doors and headed towards the Elevator, Mikasa was right behind him.

The Elevator Doors Opened, the two went inside. Eren pressed the Ground Floor Button.

The Doors closed.

While the Electrical wiring of the Elevator was in Function it made the whole situation between Eren and Mikasa awkward. There was a Mirror in the Elevator as well.

Mikasa stared at it hoping to see Eren's Face, she then see's Eren rubbing his Left Side. She knew what he was touching and what pain he was suffering.

Mikasa wants to put things right but to do that she has to have a conversation with the Prey who is wounded. Furthermore, not even giving any attention to her.

When the Elevator Pinged and said 'Ground Floor' the Double Doors Opened, Eren got out first and Mikasa followed behind him.

Mikasa raised her hand, she was going to tap on his shoulder to get his attention but Eren had already left, his Uber was outside waiting for him. She was losing her chance.

"Hey" Mikasa said.

Eren stopped walking for a minute. He turned around.

He looked at her, he was emotionless first but after seeing her face, it triggered the Nightmares and the Flashbacks from when he was at High School.

He placed both his hands on the side of his Head. It was pain he was feeling.

"Eren" Mikasa rushed to him.

"You okay" Mikasa said.

"Uh huh" Eren replied.

Eren then got up. He had that look of anguish still showering his emotions.

"T-thanks M-mikasa" Eren said stuttering. He went to the Uber and entered it.

The Uber Driver had already taken off.

"I'm sorry" Mikasa said while Eren was in the Car.

All while Mikasa was just staring at the Victim who she and her group tormented, it feels as if its a puzzle that missing from her life, the Apology Accepted Puzzle. If she doesn't have that then what else can she do?

"He is genuinely afraid. He is being tormented by the events of the Past, and whose fault was it, Mine, I don't want anyone to be afraid of me, Eren is the exception the one I want to be with the one who I truly miss" Mikasa thought.

She touched her cheek to then feel Tears slowly slipping down her face.

"I'll make things right, I promise" Mikasa muttered. She dropped it and walked a different direction, heading for her work place. She and Levi were people who wanted to do right for something they did wrong.
