Hitting the wall

Hitting your academic wall is an experience to remember. Whether you hit it your freshmen year of college, your junior year of high school, or even 7th grade, the event is virtually the same. It starts with falling short of your high standards. Maybe you got your first "B", got less than 30 on your ACT, were utterly defeated by your first AP class, or started to feel the effects of having a hold in more areas than you could handle.

During this, you start to realize you're a little more average than anyone had let you know until this point. You realize you aren't invinsible. You have your limits. You break down sometimes. You're entitled to a break or two. You're human. It all ends the same way. You walk away with a sick scar or covered in bruises, and war stories galore.

The best part? You survived. When told you were more average than you thought (but still quite a bit above average), you came to terms with it. You were thrown off of your pedastal, but you simply got back up with poise, dusted yourself off, and gracefully accepted a lower position.
