A/N: Some of you guys might not like switching POV'S but I have to just this once because Gerard is unconscious.
NIGHT BEFORE HALLOWEEN.
Frank;
I suddenly panicked, picked the chair up on it's rights side, and rushed for the phone. I instantly called 911, and an operator answered.
"I NEED AN AMBULANCE NOW! I HAVE A MAN UNCONSCIOUS. PLEASE."
"Alright sir, calm down. We'll be there as fast as possible."
I hung up and sat on the chair next to Gerard. Gerard fell and somehow managed to hit his head hard enough to knock him out. I kept my eyes on him in case he woke up. I even felt his pulse to make sure he wasn't dead. The time I walked in Blue Oak Cafe I knew it wasn't a mistake the moment I saw him. He was the most beautiful guy I'd seen. I let my hand rest on his heart for a few more minutes. The paramedics finally arrived which seemed like it took them forever. I watched the paramedics take Gerard out on a stretcher.
My heart ached with pain. I suddenly knew how it felt to be hurt inside. Not that I've never felt this way before, but I feel like I loved Gerard. I fall in love quickly, and that is what gets me hurt. Gerard most likely doesn't even remotely care about me in the same way. I don't want Gerard to die. In the short week I've known him he's become the most amazing thing in my life.
We arrived at the hospital shortly after my thoughts took control of me. I jumped out, still looking at Gerard as the paramedics took him into the emergency room on a stretcher. I tried to follow right behind them, but the security guard stopped me.
"Please take the front door." The guard pointed all the way to the front of the hospital. I would have to walk a little bit. I was slightly annoyed that I wasn't able to follow behind them, but I had to know if Gerard would be okay. I wasn't really concerned he would die because he just fell off a chair but the fact that he was unconscious was enough to get my gears grinding.
I walked around to the front of the hospital. I pushed open the double doors and walked in to see a waiting room, and a woman behind a desk. Her name Amelia. The walls were a ghostly white and everyone looked unwell or injured in some way. Children, parents, and elders of all sorts were upset or sobbing uncontrollably. "Can I help you?" The lady asked.
I nodded, then continued,"I was in the back of the ambulance that just pulled in," I watched her mess around with a few papers,"Security said to come in the front."
She clicked something on her computer and handed me an I.D with my information and who I was visiting. I slipped it in the back pocket of my jeans. I ran threw the halls, checking the door numbers above me. Surprisingly enough the halls were much less quiet than the main waiting room. I looked at my I.D. once more. Gerard's room was on the second floor. I ran to the elevator and repeatedly pounded the button for up to floor 2 in a panic. Luckily I was alone, because I was a mess right now. The elevator stopped at floor 2. I heard the panicking screams of a young girl. Racing down the halls, I finally found myself at Gerard's room. There was a sign awaiting me.
No visitors are eligible to enter at the current time. Please wait to see the patient until further notice.
How was I supposed to know if Gerard was okay? I mean, it's just a chair, but seriously. I would hate for anything to happen to Gerard. I tapped my fingers on my knees, and bit my fingernails a little bit.
"Mr. Iero, You can come in and see the patient now." The nurse took off the 'no visiting' sign, and paramedics left the room. I peaked inside and saw Gerard laying down on the hospital bed. He seemed to be fine. He was drinking an apple juice one of the paramedics gave him. He certainly regained consciousness quickly.
"Hey, Gee?" I quietly stepped inside.
Gerard smiled back,"Hey, Frank."
"Are you okay?" I asked. I was still concerned. "Will we be able to make it back for Halloween?"
Gerard laughed and took my hand. He then sat up, which made me perk up.
"I think we can check out." Gerard stumbled trying to get out of bed. He walked towards me, his leg was in a boot.
"It's sprained?" I questioned.
He nodded, then grabbed my hand,"As long as you drive." He smirked.
"I wanna sing you something. I don't have a guitar but I wanna sing it." I said.
He nodded and I began singing my favorite song:
I'd sell my soul just to see your face.
I looked up at Gerard intensely, this part was a hint to right now.
And I'd break my bones just to heal your pain.
In these times I need a saving grace, but time is running out, and I'm starting to lose my faith.
But if I told you I loved you, would it make you wanna stay? I'm sorry for the way I hurt you, and making you walk away.
My throat was getting croaky, so I had to stop singing. Gerard smiled, and hugged me tight.
"Gerard." A nurse popped in,"The doctor agrees it's allowed to check out now."
I grabbed Gerard's hand, and we took the elevator back downstairs to the main waiting room.
