True Art is about Beauty, Truth, and Reality with a capital "R". When you experience True Art, you should feel the love in it. If you don't feel love there, it just might not be True Art.
Ray Bryan was an artist in the true sense. However few or many had the fortune to receive his artistic gifts, Ray's art was sometimes Great Art. How many audiences sat in a hushed concert hall, their hair on end from the thrill of his powerful and passionate tenor? How many hearts have been or will be quietly broken by the simple honest prose of his memoirs? How many homes are graced by the beauty of his graphic sensibilities? How many have felt the Divine Presence filling the Sanctuary that he designed?
But beyond the artist, there was also a man who sometimes excelled at being a dad. This is an accounting of the artistry of that accomplishment.
Ray Bryan was my dad, and these are the gifts I received from him.
