Chapter 25

Y/n POV

Y/n: 12 Batson street. Last house. That's where Sera is

I was walking with Elaine and Arlo, walking to the house.

Arlo: that's where your tracker leads?

Y/n: that's where it is now, so yes

Elaine: thank you for helping Sera

Y/n: it's nothing

Time skip

We walked up the stairs to the attic, where we heard a lot of commotion and talking.

When we got to the top Illena saw us and they all went dead silent.

Elaine: Seraphina!

Elaine ran over to Sera, who seemed to be unconscious.

Arlo and I just kept our attention on the students.

Illena: A-Arlo

I readied my Detonator begins my back, in case it was needed.

Arlo pretty much shut this thing down and when Elaine brought Sera over and I took her over arm and put it around my shoulder to help carry her. I clipped my Detonator to my belt, but still ready to fire.

I heard Illena start yelling at Arlo as we walked away. I then heard running behind us.

I snapped around, grabbed my Detonator from my belt, aimed and fired. The flare shot hit Illena square in the chest before anyone could react.

The flare forced her to the ground, her shirt burned and smoking as she held the wound.

Y/n: you all deserve worse than that. Just know that. But while we aren't the while we are the Judge and Jury-

I put Sera's arm back around my neck and kept walking away.

Y/n: non of us are in position to be the Executioner

As we got outside Arlo spoke.

Arlo: well take her to the infirmary as soon as we get back. From there, after she wakes up-

He looked at me.

Arlo: you'll start talking

Y/n: not the time to bring that up. But yes, I know. I always keep my word

Time skip

After an hour of waiting for Sera to wake up she did. But Doc has already bandaged her up, gave her a cast and stuff.

I was in a chair on her left and Arlo and Elaine we standing to her right.

But after a few minutes of her being up Elaine started going off about how they shouldn't have treated the Ace the way they did.

Sera shut it down saying she wasn't the Ace.

Arlo spoke once she was done.

Arlo: Seraphina. I think Y/n has some explaining to do

Sera looked at me and raised her eyebrow. I shrugged.

Y/n: made a deal with Arlo. He help me and I would have to tell you, Elaine and him about one thing and what ever you ask me.

Sera: what's the one thing?

I sighed, then put my head down.

Y/n:...I'm not powerless

She went silent.

Sera: I'm sorry?

Y/n: I was never powerless. Wasn't born a cripple or anything. I just played that card since how useless my one ability is and since we never talk about how I got the...other one

She stayed silent.

Y/n: I'm sorry I didn't tell you or John the truth. It's just, bad things have happened to me and I didn't want any of you to get wrap up in them

Sera: so what are your abilities?

I stayed silent.

Y/n: you're taking it better than I thought

Sera: if you have a good enough excuse and aren't beating people up I'll listen

I nodded. Then took a deep breath.

I looked up to see Arlo and Elaine had gotten chairs themselves.

Y/n: my first ability is "respawn". If I die I'll respawn-

Sera: so I actually killed you when you first came here

Y/n: no. That was a faked death, courtesy of a simple tool i was given. I actually used this ability to...dethroned Arlo

She went quiet again.

Sera: you dethroned him?!

I nodded.

Y/n: I won't become King for several reasons. One of them is I'll be know by others, someone would figure it out and the next thing we know and army of robots is stomping Weston to the ground

They all went quiet.

Arlo: so that's why you refuse to take up the title

I nodded.

Y/n: my other ability, the one we don't mention the origins of, we called it "summon". Using person connections I can summon 1 spirit of one of my mercenary friends, on a good day I can summon up to 2. But it is controlled by which ever friend it is

Elaine: why don't you talk about it?

Y/n:....the way I got it. I never dropped out-

Arlo: that's not important

Y/n: actually it is. You see the "I dropped out to become a mercenary" is a lie! I was kidnapped by Team BLU, my side being RED. They tortured me for 2 months, trying to unlock some ability on me, which I figured out was the "summon" ability. They wanted to turn me into a weapon for them. But at the end of the second month, by chance and by an accidental summon, team RED saved me. A week before I accidentally summoned the red engineer, who we call Engie. Since he controlled it he saw me, my situation and apparently he and his team decided to save me. So yeah. That's where it came from

I heard the curtain behind me fall and I turned around to see Remi, Blyke and Isen, Isen who was covered in a few bandages, on the ground.

Remi: we heard nothing!

I raised my eyebrow.

Isen: ok. We heard everything

I rolled my eyes.

Y/n: just don't tell anyone

Arlo: just like that?

Y/n: what?

Arlo: you don't do anything about it?

Y/n: they figured it out a few days ago. Don't ask how, because I refuse to answer that

I heard him chuckle a bit.

I heard running and I saw John come out of nowhere.

John: Sera!

I stood up.

Y/n: I'll be going now. See ya!

I did a small salute as I turned around and walked off.

Boom! Chapter done! Now if you've been reading this you will know I kept ending it with a "cliffhanger". But because on the first chapter when a few people said it wasn't a cliffhanger, since this really isn't a cliffhanger this will be a normal chapter ending. Have a good morning evening or afternoon
