Overcome

Oh, how just the sight of him sends the butterflies a frenzy!

A grin plastered upon my lips
I try to hide my excitement,
But my heart betrays me,
overcome with boundless joy.

How my face turns bright scarlet
as his kind eyes meet mine from across the room.

That funny feeling
of their fluttering wings
as they dance joyously in my chest
yearning to be with him

his eyes hold me now
as they follow me on my path
and my smile is returned.
