Personality: Evil and lusty
Home: her palace
Looks: Darkish skin. Odd tail. Black spiral and ring markings on her body. Sharp teeth and two long, pointy horns. Webbed dorsal fin which looks boney. Pointy ears.
Clothes: Golden chest plate. Yellow and green pearls.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Straight, goes down to her shoulder blades and covers both of her eyes.
The idea of mermaids in Be comes from the tale of Iara, the "Lady of the waters." Iara was originally known as a water snake but through folklore became an immortal woman with green eyes and brown skin who was known to lure sailors to her underwater palace, where they become her lover's. Iara is blamed for many accidents in the Amazon, especially where men disappear.
(In my story she hypnotizes men with her voice. She's supposed be ugly but her hypnotizing voice makes men think she's beautiful. Her ugly appearance consists of an odd tail, hot and sharp teeth but the men see a fish or snake-like tail with no sharp teeth and no horns. She'll also kill one if her lovers if they try to escape more than once)
