Halley's face turner pale. She turned over to her father who also looked as pale as a ghost.

Silence. Halley shook her head thinking she was just dreaming or having a realistic nightmare. She ran to her room in doubt of the whole situation and pinched herself to see if she was dreaming or not. Her father trotted up the creaky stairs after her. When they got face to face, he froze.
"T-this can't be happening..." before she can finish what she was gonna say she bursted in tears. "H-how could this happen...t-to us."
"Halley...I know you can't believe it but..."her dad sighs. "Just get ready for school tomorrow."
