"I was half asleep, dumbass!" Carson exclaimed, smacking Kell on the chest. Not that it would do any damage. "Now put me down." He grumbled, squirming around and nearly elbowing poor Kell in the nose as the boy set him on the porch.

Kell POV

Still blushing heavily, I followed a grumbling Carson into the Rossi household. Jesus fuck I can't believe that just happened. Sleepy kitten Carson is definitely one of my favorite versions of him.

"I can hear voices in the dining room; I guess Papa's still with his friends," Carson murmured, his voice breaking me out of my little trance. The scent of camellias surrounded me as he stepped a little closer to keep quiet.

"Uh-huh," I muttered intelligently. This boy has to be the most oblivious person on the planet to not realize the effect he has on me.

"Do you think he'll mind if I go say hi? I might know some of them!" Carson turned his big doe eyes on me with that pretty accent that he somehow still has even after being in America for so long and of course I wasn't gonna make any comments not in his favor so I really wasn't the best person to ask.

"Nah, you'll be fine. He can't be too mad, right?" I offered. Carson tossed me a crooked grin and headed for the threshold to the dining room.

"It's like you read my mind." With that, he stepped into the dining room with me right on his heels.

There were six people standing around the dining table, and I only recognized Carson's father and his sister Bianca, who was supposed to be in college. Carson seemed to have similar sentiments.

"Bianca? Wha- aren't you supposed to be in London?" Carson was frozen in place. Meanwhile, all the adults in the room looked like children caught on their phones at 3 am.

"Carson? Weren't you supposed to be back later?" Carson's father Gabriel looked especially guilty and was avoiding his son's eyes.

"Yeah, but we figured you wouldn't mind if we were a little early..." Carson mumbled, looking lost for once in his life. I wanted to grab his hand in comfort, but I wasn't sure how the bystanders would feel about that. "And you didn't tell me our family was in town," Carson's tone was bordering on accusatory, and I felt like I shouldn't be there. The adults in the room were conversing with their eyes, and I took the opportunity to look around.

Gabriel was at the head of the table, with Bianca opposite him at the other end. Bianca looked a lot like her father with her height, businesswoman aura, and straightened dark hair, but she had blue eyes like a few of her siblings. An intimidating lady with a bleach-blond undercut, a silver ring in her nose and sharp blue eyes sat to Bianca's right, and a pretty, refined-looking woman with long dark hair, brown eyes, and a lot of freckles across the bridge of her nose and cheeks sat across from the blond lady. She looked a lot like Gabriel, so I guessed she could be Carson's Aunt Chiara, which made the woman across from her her wife Katsa.

The guy who looked like an exact copy of Gabriel except for the slightly crooked nose must've been Amadeo, Carson's uncle and triplets with Gabriel and Chiara. The last guy had dark dreadlocks pulled into a large but elegant bun, smooth chocolaty skin and dark eyes behind a pair of large round glasses that he kept pushing up every 30 seconds. He must've been Jake Morris, Gabriel's good friend who was practically another uncle to Carson.

"Ah, sorry about that, kiddo," Chiara said kindly, standing and walking over to hug Carson, who stilled looked conflicted but hugged her back tightly. "It was kind of a surprise visit; your dad didn't know until a few days ago!" She chuckled, and everyone in the room couldn't help but relax slightly. Chiara had a calming vibe about her. "We were planning on setting everything up to surprise the rest of you, but I can see that that isn't gonna work out." She said in mock disappointment, ruffling Carson's hair and upsetting the bun I worked so hard on.

"Sorry, Aunt Chiara," Carson chuckled, gently swatting her hand away and fixing his hair. "I guess we'll just have to help you all surprise everyone else, then?" Chiara grinned.

"Wait, didn't you have Emilia with you when you left?" Gabriel spoke up, the space between his eyebrows creased in concern. I gasped, drawing all the eyes in the room towards me.

"Carson, we forgot about Emilia," I whispered. Carson's eyes widened before he snatched my hand and yanked me into the hallway and out the door, only to find that Emilia was still sleeping peacefully in the back seat of the car, the door still wide open. Carson breathed a sigh of relief and then started to laugh, and I couldn't help but join in. We didn't let our intertwined hands drop until we had to get Emilia.

As an apology for not updating in forever, I have Kell's POV and pics of the badass lesbian aunts~
