from a young age, luke was always into poems. he mostly read sad poems, finding it beautiful beyond belief. he wanted to be like the poets writing the sad or the suicidal or the self harm poems, so he started writing about that.

people read his work on social media and praised him for it, saying it was haunting and memorable and inspiring. they liked the idea of romanticizing suicide and glamorizing sadness and depression. luke was not happy.

his work was not beautiful, and he knew that.

it was not beautiful because it wasn't supposed to be beautiful. there is nothing beautiful about sadness, about suicide, about self harm, about eating disorders, because the product of it is not beautiful.

what he needed was happiness, and happiness was truly beautiful.

he just found it too late.
