5 ~ Revenge

He kept turning back to look if there was a person pranking him or if a car was chasing him. And suddenly he saw a woman sitting in the back seat. He stopped the car thinking it's just a woman, she'll be easy to deal with but she was not a weak or normal woman. He turns back his head but was shocked, she disappeared. He got off the car and opened the backseat door, still nobody inside. He stepped back and scanned around his surroundings, nobody to be seen. He was at the top of his confusion, what was even going on.

He sat back in the car. He started driving again, but he felt a hand grabbing his neck. He turned his head back, still nobody there but he could feel a grip, a force on his neck. His eyes suddenly land on the rear mirror of his car. It was his wife, his dead wife. She looked horrible and spine chilling frightening. He almost had a heart attack seeing her covered in blood. The blood came flowing from the backseat to his feets. And he lost the balance of both his mind and his car. Or maybe it was his wife who took over his car and drove it straight to the gas station ahead. He tried to open the door to jump out and save himself before the car hits the gas station. But the door won't open, neither the windows.

"There!" Taehyung said when they finally found the spirit. "Let's stop her."

"No!" Y/n stopped him "it's too late. She can't be stopped now."

"We can still do something to save his life!" Taehyung said "I can stop the wheel of life."

"Let her take the revenge. He deserves to die painfully." Y/n said.

"But this is a sin! You will get punished for not catching the soul before it committed the sin." Taehyung said, worried about his ferryman.

"I can't do anything now, a man who killed his own innocent wife deserves punishment." She said "she's too powerful right now, we can only stop her after it's done."

And just then, the car crashed into the gas station. It was a big blast, like a cloud of fire rising up in the sky. Y/n took out her soul guiding lamp, once again to attract the spirit. The spirit which now had no purpose to stay in the mortal world anymore after her revenge was done, came following y/n's lamp. Taehyung was surprised to the the soul, she was beautiful. Now that the soul was ready to leave the mortal world, she appeared in her true form, the form she was in before her death.

"You were so beautiful." Y/n said.

"Thank you. I'm sorry I troubled you all this time but now that my work is done, I want you to take me." The soul said.

"Before we go, I want you to know the path you've chosen. The sin you've committed will lead you to hell." Y/n said.

"What?!" Taehyung said "there will be no transmigration?"

"No, she will send to hell for punishment without removing her memories." Y/n told him.

"Do you have any regrets?" She asked the soul.

"No! I must pay for what I've done, this is justice." The soul said "but I know, the government here would've never punished my husband for the crime he did. So I took it in my own hands for justice."

With her last words, y/n captured the soul and took her to the underworld, leaving Taehyung alone. He stood there for some more time, until the police arrived at the scene of accident. He stood under a tree and watched the media came and cover the footage. He wondered how the underworld was different from the mortal world apart from spirits.

"We are looking for witnesses, sir!" A policeman approached him and said. "Can you help us?"

"Sorry, I came here after the accident happened." Taehyung said.

"Do you know the man who died?" The officer asked.

"No." Taehyung replied "I saw the fire and came to see what happened. I should leave now, I see the situation is being handled."

"Yes, we are working on the case. We suspect it was a planned accident to kill him." The officer said "he was a murderer who just got released from the prison."

"I see..." Taehyung said. "All beings suffer, officer."

"Thank you for your cooperation, sir!" The officer said "do you live nearby, here?"

"No!" Taehyung said and left.

"Such a handsome man with such long hair..."  The officer thought but found it weird for a man to have so long hair. But he didn't know that this wierd man with long hair was a God.

And soon after taehyung left, the officer forgot about him.
