SUDDENLY, THE SUBSTANTIAL AND SPACIOUS kitchen felt confined and restricted, with Claudia only wanting this nightmare to be over because she knew that she was probably doing some bad things in reality. That's how these dreams went, that's how this monster wants it, "No, not you again..." And she didn't know whether she was talking about her dad or the monster anymore. But what she did know was that Claudia wasn't looking at the same father that her memories kept hold of, but instead counted him as a clone.

"Oh yes, it is me again. Claudia, I actually never left," Now he really sounded different compared to her father's usual hoarse and rough tone. The mix of hate and masculinity that once dripped off his tongue was taken over by the inhumane growls, the way its words echoed throughout the house like they were speakers booming music.

Claudia's dull irises missed nothing of her surroundings, darting everywhere and anywhere because she needed to kill this thing, this monster that looked like her dad.

And that was the hard part.

Because even if she really, really, disliked her father. He was family. And the only family left out there, excluding good ol' Steve.

Think, think, think. Claudia knows this house better than anyone else in the world, and she knew that the axe was in the garage. But that was too far away, and the Runaway needed to kill him off quickly and fast before the monster could latch onto her and possibly kill her instead. So trying to gulp down the sudden idea of seeing the set of kitchen knives sitting steadily and stealthy on the wooden box storage, Claudia covered up her plan by using an easy tactic; distraction, "Leave me alone, before you regret it!" Harsh words spat when she kept contact but her gaze became glazed, because Claudia balled her hands up in fists, her mind reeling of exactly how she was going to kill this thing.

He shouldn't have done it, but he laughed, "Oh, boohoo! What are you gonna do? Kill me?"

Fuck, Claudia wore an unrelenting stare as she felt her fingernails dig into her gentle palms because how the hell did he know? How the hell could he have figured that one out?

His father's once bloodshot eyes suddenly darkened in the fact that this wasn't his body, and this monster was confidently grinning because he knows, he knows he's getting under Claudia's skin. And he's good at it, "How the hell do I know? Well, Miss Parker, I know everything single little thing about you."

He takes a step forward.

"You see, you may only be under my control when you're unconscious because you haven't given me permission to fully let myself in, but I can hear you anywhere and anytime, I can read that little weak mind of yours. I am always on you because I'm so close to having you as my second host."

He takes a step forwards.

She takes one back.

"It's useless that you're still trying, Claudia. So why don't you do me a god damn favour...and let me in!"

She's had enough.

Her jaw was clenched so hard that it ached like Hell and her darkened eyes were glowering at him like killer lasers. The shout of anger that overlapped his booming voice suddenly turned into a longing scream and it gave her the incentive to move. So with her mind overwhelming the feeling of adrenaline and reeking of fear, Claudia swiftly moved to the right side of her body and yanked one of those sharp-bladed bad boys out of the box. And she pounded her feet against the eerie floorboards like she was suddenly stepping into the monster's footsteps, following his bad habits of danger and murder as her free left hand forcefully pushed the man up against the wall. Being at the same time that the bladed side of the knife manoeuvred itself to press against her father's...the monster's throat.

And the once innocent girl seethed, "You didn't hear what I said, Huh?! Want me to fucking say it again for you?!" The man trapped in front of her writhed yet spat out laughter, the knife hadn't drawn blood yet, but it must've hurt. The mark it was starting to leave only encourage Claudia Parker to dig it deeper into his throat. She definitely didn't sound like herself, she's never sounded anymore different than this. But she had enough and this was to stop before it got any worse.

"Leave. Me. Alone!"

"Claudia! Claudia, no! Stop, stop, stop!"

She's brought back to real life by screaming and shouting, and she's immediately terrified of what exactly she was doing in the real world. Then she realised that it's coming from her; she was the one who was screaming. But the shouting of her name had come from behind her body. She knows, she knows that by the chaos of voice and shouting that she definitely has someone in a death grip, planted in the exact same position that she'd placed the monster. So Claudia pries her eyes open - not the monster's - Claudia opens her own true eyes awake.

And so the girl had caught a quick glimpse of fear writhing under her harsh grip, the knife pressed against the human's neck still hadn't drawn blood, but it's completely digging into the gentle skin of familiar softness and kindness. There aren't tears in the person's eyes, but Claudia doesn't need crying to know that they're scared, because their body is absolutely shaking and they're pleading and trying to catch in any air that would reach their throat.

Claudia was about to pull the knife away from the person's neck herself, but it seemed that the person from behind her had already gripped their hands tightly around her stomach before yanking her off of the helpless victim and they wrapped their arms to hold Claudia there, standing up. Like a really, really, tight hug from behind. The sound of sharp metal hitting the tiled ground and the feeling of the weapon not being held in a deathly tight-like grip Claudia once had on it was sharply ignored by all three humans in the Harrington house.

She alarmingly jerked her head up to see who had been holding her and was immediately sighing in relief at the sight that Steve was crossed off the list from who could possibly have nearly had their throat sliced by the young fourteen-year-old girl. The older boy was already looking down at Claudia, giving her a large expression of shock and worry as he didn't speak. Honestly, by exactly what just happened, no one could speak.

Then the sound of someone gasping for air only made the two siblings whip their heads around, which the brunette girl regretted. Because now Claudia was choking back a sob when she stared empathetically at the person who literally nearly god killed by her.

At that exact moment, tears of guilt fell down her cheeks, "M-Mike?"
