The chairs, tables, board games, and bits of food have been set up nicely in the park as a tent hovered over the party animals of EdgePort. Most people were having a great time, celebrating the food that had arrived earlier today. As for Leo and his family, a majority of them chose to stay by their tents and watch the gates from a distance in hopes fo Duke and Vincent returning home.

Regan, Shado, and Mikey took care of the horses, Cash, Streak, and a mule named Dally. They fed them well; grass that grew from the perimeter walls, and a few apples that were spared for these gentle animals. They munched and nickered quietly until they locked their hooves and napped.

Leonardo was growing insanely impatient. He looks at his family going their own thing. Raphael is tending to his daughter, rocking her against his chest to put her to sleep. Casey and Patience are enjoying the little fire that burned in the rusted oil drum, and a few others are just sitting around like statues, daydreaming about their future. Leo broke the silence, presenting that he is losing most of his patience. "Where are they? I should have gone out to go find them."

Criss was inside the tent and she could hear her boyfriend getting a little riled up. "Leonardo," She says to him. "I'm sure they're okay. You just need to be patient. If they are not back by tomorrow then we can worry."

"She's right," Casey said. "Remember when we met them and thought we were going to die? Vv saved us with a cocktail molotov. I'm sure she can do that again out there."

Mikey nodded, agreeing with Casey's words. Michelangelo has also witnessed the talents of Duke and Vincent- through his yes, they were sort of like the Bonnie and Clyde of the apocalypse. "Yeah. Don't worry, Leo. If they don't come back by tomorrow morning, we'll go out."

"You can't." Said Nate, standing next to the oil drum and receiving a comforting heatwave. "Sam's men are out there."

"How?" Said Kitty. "April released a bunch of men out there to get food and you're saying we can't go out there because of those goons?"

"It's different." Nate stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Sam's men know when the community needs to go out for necessities, so they'll only let a few out. If more are released, you're dead." The British boy explained.

"Well, sh*t." Patience said. "We can't even go out to save our friends." Pay got up from the chair and stood next to Leo. "We shouldn't worry too much, Leo. This is Vincent and Duke we're talking about! Nothing can touch those lovebirds."

Then, out of the blue, April came to the tents where Leo is surrounded by his friends. "Hey, guys." She says, tossing a family-size box of Honey Maid Grahm Crackers to Leo. "Eat up. You guys deserve it." After that, April returned to the gathering at the park.

While Leo opened the box up, Patience is still a little sketchy around April. Ever since she pulled that stunt with Mikey, things haven't been so steady. Something else is going on with him besides working with a man named Sam. "Hm..." She mumbled.

"What's got you, Pay?" Leo asked her, seeing she is uneasy at the moment.

The mutant lizard flickered her tongue, unsure how to form her sentence. "Nothing. It's just..." She trailed off, watching April walk farther down the street until she reached the park where the music was at an acceptable volume. "I don't think it's just Sam and the war we gotta worry about."

Whatever this rundown house had inside for the mutants and humans was put to great use and placed in packs so it would take a journey back home to EdgePort. While things were being situated outside of the horses, Donnie noticed that his IV fluid bag had run dry and it was time for him to relieve his skin from such irritation from the tubes.
