"So.. what are we?" River asked, once the party was over.

"You answer me." Axel replied, taking the white rose from earlier and then got down on his knee.

"River Harris, will you be mine?"

River blinked at him as a smile grew on her face.

Then, she got down to his level and took the rose.

"I will." And she gave Axel a peck on his cheek.

"This is officially the best birthday ever." Axel said, helping River up.

"This is officially the best day ever." River repeated, grinning.

"I wanna ask you something."

"Sure."

"Did you know that I liked you before you even confessed?" Axel asked, tilting his head.

"Yeah."

"Zoey told you?"

"Yeah."

"I knew it." He said, laughing.

River laughed along with him.

"I can't stop saying this, River."

"What?"

"I love you." Axel said, kissing her on the lips.
