Zane's P.O.V.

I was chilling in my room browsing through Instagram. It was a casual afternoon and the day right before our little party. Tomorrow was also the day Alex wanted me to do my little payback for her tutoring. I smile slightly when I think about her. I haven't been in her house since the first time we met, but we have hung out a lot, mostly with our friends or at random times. She's really diffrent than other girls. She is beautiful and smart, but doesn't give herself enough credit. She's cute when she's mad or flustered and can also be quite intimidating.

She's really intressting and I'm glad I met her. I let out a long breath. I still feel guilty for how I approached her at first. I was selfish and ignorant. I would've been screwed if she wasn't so nice. It doesn't make my task any easier though...

I was pulled out of my thought by my phone ringing. I glanced at the caller name.

Luke

Why was he calling?

"Hello?"

"Where are you right now?"

"At home. Where els would I be?"

"I'm here at the cafe. And guess what Alex is here with a guy."

"She probably took an extra shift. I don't always work with her."

"No man she's not working. I think... she's on a date."

I sat up straight on my bed.

"What? How does the guy look that's with her? Wait nevermind I'll be there in a few. Make sure you keep an eye on them."

I said before grabbing my keys and speeding off on my motorcycle.

Alex's P.O.V.

"It's great that we finally have time to hang out. I'm sorry it took so long though." I said looking at my childhood friend.

"It's okay. To be honest this past month was rough. I doubt that I would've been open before this either." He said giving me a slight smile

We walked into the cafe taking a seat at one of the window tables. He was well dressed with his blonde hair neatly styled. He wore some nice jeans and a white button up shirt. His cologne was nice and not overwhelming.

I picked up the menu even when I already knew what was available. It was just to stop me from staring.

"I think you look nice..." he said from behind his menu. I looked down. I was wearing a purple dress and some brown boots. My hair was slightly curled and a simple locket around my neck.

"Thanks, you look quite handsome as well." I said peeking over the menu I could see a slight blush dusting his face. Then a thought crossed my mind...

Was this a date?

My cheeks reddend at the idea. I mean this could just be a hangout with two friends. Eating at a nice cafe. Just the two of us.

It sounded a lot like a date...

"May I take your order?" A waiter interrupted my mental conversation. "I'll have a red velvet cake and strabbery cream drink please." I replied "And I'll have a cinnamon bun and chocolate milkshake please." Sean added.
